The candidates aiming to apply for Ph.D. need to have a Master’s Degree in Law from a recognized university. The admission is done on the basis of an entrance exam followed by Personal Interview and subject-specific presentation.

All qualified candidates shall make a presentation before the Admission Committee on the proposed topic of research on the date notified by the Institute.

PH.D. Law Passed LL.M. Degree from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written test followed by a presentation on proposed topic of research & interview.

Note: The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, JRF, SLET, and M.Phil are exempted from taking the admission test.

ILI, Delhi Ph.D. Entrance Test pattern: A written test of three hours duration will be conducted for the candidates who have not qualified UGC NET/JRF, SLET and M.Phil. The written test will consist of two papers.

Shortlisted Candidates will be called for Presentation of their Research Proposal followed by Interview. The candidates of exempted category will be shortlisted based on the Research Plan submitted by them along with the application form. All qualified candidates will have to perform their presentation before the Admission Committee on the proposed topic of research on the date notified by the Institute
