HPTU admission 2022 is ongoing for various UG and PG courses. The university has released admission cum counselling forms for B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, BHMCT, MBA, MCA, M.Sc, and M.Tech courses. The last date to fill the form is August 28, 2022. Eligible candidates can apply online on the official website of the university - himtu.ac.in. 1st round of conselling for admission (except B.Tech through JEE Mains) will be conducted on August 30, 2022. The 1st round counselling for B.Tech direct entry through JEE Mains will begin on September 1, 2022.

The Himachal Pradesh Technological University, Hamirpur is well known for its technological programs such as B.Tech & M.Tech. HPTU Hamirpur offers a 4 years long B.Tech program under 10 different specializations at the UG level.
Apart from these, the university also accepts admission to the B.Tech programme through lateral entry once the candidate meets the satisfactory requirements. The total fee of the B.Tech program at HPTU Hamirpur is INR 1.97 lakhs.

To get admission into the B.Tech program, a general category candidate must have scored a valid minimum cutoff marks of JEE Main between 15-20.The seats will be then allotted on the basis of previous academic records, and the merits in JEE Main entrance examination or class 12th.
HPTU Hamirpur offers a 2 years long MBA & MCA program in general via regular mode and charges a fee of INR 54,200 and INR 66,450 for the first year of the MBA & MCA programs respectively. 

HPTU Hamirpur MBA & MCA Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to have passed their bachelor's degree in the relevant field from any recognized university or college for the MBA program.
While for MCA program candidates should have passed BCA or B.Tech/B.E.
Also, candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA on the 10 point scale in aggregate.
HPTU Hamirpur MBA & MCA Selection Criteria 2022
For MBA, the selection is based on the merit-lists prepared by the university on the basis of rank scored by the candidates in the CAT/ MAT/ CMAT or HPCET.
For MCA, the university selects the best eligible students on the basis of scores HPCET conducted by HPTU.
How to Apply?
Click on the official admission link of HPTU.
Fill the application form by filling all the required details. After filling the basic details, the candidate will receive a username and password. Note down the form number, username and password. 
Now, click on “login” using the user form number, name and password.
A verification page will appear on the screen. Candidates must enter the OTP via email option and enter the OTP received. This will verify the Email ID of the candidate. 
Start filling the application form by entering personal, academic details
Select the admission criteria through which you want to enrol in the college i.e. National Level Test, HPCET and on the basis of Qualifying Examination for appearing in Counselling
Also, upload the scanned copy of your own signature (in *.JPEG/*.JPG format) and photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm in JPEG/JPG format) and also of your parent/guardian’s digital signature. The file size of the photograph and signatures should not exceed 50kb and 30 kb separately for each file.
Additionally, be careful at putting the category the candidate belongs to, otherwise, the candidate will be considered from the general category.
Candidates who haven’t appeared for HPCET have to pay an application processing fee of INR 1550/- for candidates of General category and INR 1400/- for candidates of Reserved Categories before submitting the application form.
Click on “ Final submit”.
After making the final submission, click on “fee payment”.
For making the payment of the fees two options will appear in front of the candidate – “Offline link to generate PNB Challan” and “Online Fee Payment Link”.
Online payment can be made through Debit card/ credit card or Net Banking.
The candidate, after making the fee payment will be able to submit the application form.
A print out of the filled in application form has to be taken out along with the declaration form and a scanned copy of it has to be submitted either through post ( to the following address) or e-mail at himtuadmission@gmail.com
For each program, a separate application form has to be submitted by the candidate.
HPTU Reservations 2022
Himachal Pradesh Technical University follows a reservation system in its admission procedure. Below table mentions the reservation of each categories as follows;

Scholarship

The college fee is quite affordable in comparison to the competition but still, our college offers scholarships through Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to SC/ ST, Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC, Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes, Mukhya Mantri Gyandeep Yojna are some of the schemes through which our college offers various scholarships.

For the scholarship, I had to fulfill the eligibility criteria which was that I had obtained 55% mark and above in my 12th or +2 examinations and possessed all required documents. There were also other scholarships like the Cultural Activists Scholarship which was offered to me as I had excelled in academic and cultural activities and was duly recommended by the Chairperson of my department.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to SC/ ST Students: Students belonging to SC/ ST category with annual income not more than INR 2,50,000 are eligible for this scholarship which includes Maintenance Allowance and Compulsory Fee.
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC Students: Students belonging to OBC category with annual income not more than INR1,00,000 are eligible for this scholarship which includes Maintenance Allowance and Compulsory Fee.
Dr. Ambedkar Post- Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes: Students belonging to General Category (exempting ST, SC and OBC) with annual income not more than 1,00,000 are eligible for this scholarship which includes Maintenance Allowance, Compulsory fee, Tuition fee, Games free, Medical fee, Examination fee etc.
Mukhya Mantri Gyandeep Yojna: This is a government sponsored financial assistance scheme for the students from the state of Himachal Pradesh pursuing any course. In this scheme, the Interest subsidy from any Bank on Education Loan availed up to INR 10,00,000 is admissible.

• Labs: The university has labs like Chemistry Lab, Computer Lab, Electrical Lab, Language Lab, Pharmacy Lab, Communication Lab, Concrete Lab, Survey Lab, GeoTechnical Engineering Lab and many more.
• Recreation: To promote students' leisure activities, the university provides various recreational facilities like Playground, Cafeteria, Gym, Auditorium, and Convenience Store.

Other than these the university also has a stocked library, Training and Placement cell, NCC/NSS cell, University Magazine and more.
