Ganga Institute of Architecture and Town Planning (GIATP) , which is part of Ganga Group of Institutions, was established in year 2011, with a vision of introducing Bachelors and Master’s Degree (Landscape) Courses in Architecture, with an intake of Eighty Seats in B.Arch. and Twenty seats in M.Arch. The course is approved by Council of Architecture (COA) and is affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University , Rohtak.The College premise is located in the Campus of G.I.T.A.M. (Ganga Institute of Technology and Management, Kablana). Located in village Kablana near Jhajjar District, Haryana. The Campus is equipped with in-house hostel accommodation for students as well as Faculty members. Architecture Department has state of the art facilities to facilitate Architectural Education.

The acid tests for any organization are it’s Results and Placements. GITAM is among the Best Institutes of M.D. University on both these fronts. Our 690 students were University Merit Rankers in last exams, out of which 29 Students, have secured First position in the University. In the Convocation held in M. D. University, 15 students of GITAM have received Gold Medals. About 300+ companies have visited the campus for placement drive last year. We have tie-ups with more than 200 companies for Training and Placements. Our students also got selected in various Multinational Companies and Public Sector Undertakings. GITAM has upgraded its all India Ranking from th th 94 in 2019 to 67 in 2021 (Times Engineering Institute Ranking Survey 2021).

SOCIAL EVENTS

The Students’ Welfare Department and the NSS unit conducts Blood Donation Camps, Tree Plantation Drives, Road Safety Awareness Camps, First Aid Awareness Camps, Beti Bachao - Beti Padhao Awareness Camp & Ganga Swachhata Abhiyan. It also provides the students a platform to showcase their leadership skills, talents in music, art & craft and literary interest by organizing college level events like debate, declamation, group discussions etc.

TRAINING & PLACEMENTS

The Training and Placement Office functions through its separate office with state-of-the-art facilities for conducting pre-placement
talks, written tests, group discussions, and interviews. The team is divided into two groups; one groom the personality of the students and the other take care of placement activities. We have a strong Alumni Network which helps in placements.
The Training and Placement cell has steadily progressed over the years in enhancing the placement potential effectively. Students also got
selected for various multinational companies and government sectors through off-campus placement drives. The College maintains a help
desk for students seeking information on the upcoming prospective companies for placement. The latest significant information from the
corporate world is also provided to the aspiring students.

Internship/Practical Training

After completion of 4th-year students in the B.Arch programme, it requires to do an internship with a well organised architectural firm for a period of one year as part of the academic curriculum. During this period a student is expected to understand the working procedure of any organisation through observation and exchange of experience.

Placements

Career planning is an integral part of the design curriculum. Throughout the course, students are trained in best practices in the industry and groomed for professional life. We like to make sure that the transition from student phase to an employee is as smooth as possible.
The GIATP placement cell is a support given to students to find the right job /Internship opportunities both on campus by conducting placement drives with various reputed architectural firms and also off campus by giving recommendations to various organizations.

GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES

Bachelor of Architecture

Duration: 5 years, Full time (semester based)

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates may come from the following backgrounds:

  • 50% marks in aggregate of 10+2 or equivalent and in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of examination.
  • 50% marks in aggregate in 10+3 Diploma (any stream) passed/appearing recognised by Central/State Government with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing, after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as a compulsory subject of examination.

In addition, candidates are required to submit the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA, conducted by COA) exam scores for admission to the undergraduate program.

Master of Architecture

Duration: 2 years, Full time (semester based)

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the post-graduate program a candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Architecture with 50% marks in aggregate, recognized by the Council of Architecture. In addition, Applicants may be required to participate in a personal interview.
