National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi was established in the year 1962 by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India as a UNESCO Regional Centre and developed into status of University in 2006. It is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). It is located on Sri Aurobindo Marg, in South of New Delhi opposite Qutub Hotel, adjoining to NCERT and Indian Institute of Technology Campuses.

NUEPA Courses with eligibility:

Courses Eligibility
M. Phil 10+2+3 scheme with 2 years of post-graduation with above 50% marks.
Ph.D A minimum of 55% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates and PwD) or its equivalent grade in Master’s Degree in social sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university.

 


NUEPA Admissions

Application Form

  • Fill the admission form.
  • Wait for the counseling dates to be announced.
  • Direct Admission through Merit: General Programs, seats are filled directly through the merit based on the score of last qualifying Examination.
  • Admission Through Management Quota: Admission on Few Reserved seats of Management Quota for Both Direct & Entrance exam based Programs. The main Fee is applicable to all programs by taking admission in Management Quota.

NUEPA Selection Process:

  • Initial short-listing of applications will be carried out on the basis of relevance and quality of the brief write-up in the proposed area of research to be submitted along with the application form. Short-listed candidates will be required to appear for a written test and those qualifying in the written test will be subjected to personal interviews to assess their motivation and potential leading to final shortlisting and preparation of panel of selected candidates, in order of merit.
  • NUEPA will follow all mandatory provisions in the reservation policy of Govt. of India. Admissions to M.Phil., PhD & Part-time PhD Programs will be made purely on the basis of merit following the prescribed criteria of the University
  • The University reserves the right to decide the number of seats to be filled in the year 2020-21 the criteria for screening of applications; and the selection procedure of candidates for admission to its M.Phil & PhD Programs

 


NUEPA Fellowship

  • NUEPA has constituted 10 fellowships each for the students of M.Phil. and Ph. D. Programme. The fellowships are granted according to norms laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC) regarding the same.
  • The fellowships are also open to candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) and have been awarded Junior Research Fellowships by UGC-CSIR. However, the fellowships would be offered to the NET qualified candidates through their respective organizations. For continuing availing the fellowship, a student has to show satisfactory performance in each quarter.

It’s a premier government institution which deals with research in planning and management of education. NUEPA offers M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in Educational Policy, Planning and Administration both from national and international perspectives.

 

  • Candidates seeking admission in M.Phil and Ph.D. programs will be selected through entrance exam conducted by the institution followed by a personal interview.
  • Those who wish to study M.Phil must have Master’s degree in social science and allied disciplines while Ph.D. candidates need to possess M.Phil in educational policy, planning and administration.
  • The candidates appearing in their final year of Master’s degree are also eligible to apply for M.Phil program.
  • NUEPA also offers PG Diploma in Educational Planning & Administration (PGDEPA).
  • The application form is available at the university office or can be downloaded from the official website.
  • The cost of application form is INR 200 (INR 100 for reserved categories) to be remitted through DD issued in favor of Registrar, NUEPA, payable at New Delhi.

<p id="mp">NUEPA offers M.Phil degree for a period of two-years in four educational areas. The total intake is 20 students to be selected through entrance test conducted by the institutions. The final selection is done after personal interview round conducted for the short-listed candidates.</p> <p>The minimum eligibility requirement is a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in social sciences or allied disciplines from a recognized university. Candidates possessing master&rsquo;s degree in other disciplines may apply as well provided they have work or teaching experience in educational planning, policy and administration.</p>
