Manipur University was established in 1980 in Imphal. It presently has 48 affiliated colleges under its jurisdiction. NIRF Ranking of the university is #101 out of 200 colleges. Manipur University is predominantly famous for its master’s courses, i.e. MA, M.Sc, MBBS, MBA, P.hD, B.Tech, M.Tech. For candidates applying in these courses must clear their entrance examination i.e. NEET, CAT/ XAT ,UGC- NET/ SLET/ SET, JEE Main, and GATE. Manipur University Facilities

University is spread across 287 acres with humongous facilities, some of them are:

Library: University has a well-equipped library with all reading facilities and a seating capacity of 200 only. The library follows an open access system by which students can read the desired book(s) directly from the stack. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is available for checking the availability of a book. The library has a conference hall with a seating capacity of 80+. All the Teachers, Research Scholars, Students, Officers, and Non-Teaching staff of the university can enroll as library users. University also has an e-library available to its members.
Health Center: University also has its health center inside the campus, to provide premium health care facilities to all students, teaching and non-teaching staff. The health center consists of a Chief Medical Officer, a Resident Medical Officer (PT), one Dental Surgeon (PT), one staff nurse, one pharmacist-cum-typist, and one peon. The main objective of the Health Centre is to provide healthcare to all to the extent possible.
Computer laboratory: University has a well-equipped computer lab for students and scholars, it also conducts short-term courses for trainees. A wide range of options is available, students and scholars can gather any academic details necessary from computer labs.
Hostel: University has great accommodation for both girls and boys, it provides six boys and eight girls’ hostels which can accommodate 592 boys and 564 girls. Hostel mess and other curricular activities are present as well. University also provides a hostel for faculty staff.
Transport: The university has 6 buses, which ply between the city and campus twice a day. Fee charges are nominal as well.
Other facilities: Museum, postal and banking facilities, guest house, community development cell, etc.

Manipur University Faculty

University has well trained, highly educated teaching and non-teaching staff that provide sheer guidance to all its students. The primary aim of all faculty members is to provide the utmost academic assistance to all students. GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES

Manipur University was established in June 1980 is located in Imphal. It was later converted to a Central University on 28 December 2005. University is 7 km away from the capital of Manipur, Imphal. The campus is spread over 287 acres of land. At current, there are 76 colleges affiliated with Manipur University and 1 constituent college under its jurisdiction.

Manipur University offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, BBM, B.E, MBBS, and BDS programs at the UG level. The basic eligibility criteria for these programs is 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Admissions to these programs are either based on merit or entrance examination.

Manipur University UG Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for admission to the UG courses at Manipur University, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

For B.E admission, candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subject and have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
For BDS and MBBS admission, candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as compulsory subjects and have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
For other UG courses, Candidates must have completed 10+2 with at least 45% marks fron a recognised board of education.
For SC/ ST students, there is a 5% relaxation of marks.

Manipur University UG Selection Criteria

Admission to B.VOC. in Food Processing and Quality Management, Retail Management and Foreign Trade, Tourism and Hospitality Management, B.A. (Hons) Korean, and BA (Dance) will be done through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Such candidates must opt for the general test while appearing for the CUET.

Selection for B.E program will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the JEE Main examination followed by counselling.
Selection for the MBBS and BDS programs is done on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET examination followed by counselling.
Selection for the remaining UG courses will be made on the basis of marks obtained in class 12th.

For M.Tech. admissions, the candidate should have scored a minimum CGPA of 6.5 and GATE.
