Swarnim Gujarat Sports University is a state university located in Gandhinagar. The university was officially recognized in the year 2011 and affiliated under UGC (University Grants Commission). SGSU is the 2nd sports university established in the country after Tamilnadu in India. The university offers a wide variety of UG, PG, Research, PG Diplomas and Teachers Training Programmes under several different faculties of Sports and Physical Education. Some of the popular programmes at SGSU are BBA in Sports Management, BBA in Event Management, B.Sc. In sports coaching, M. P.E.S, Master in Sport Journalism and Mass Communication etc.

 

Admission to these programmes is strictly based on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the university itself followed by the rounds of personal interview and group discussions. Also, in order to be eligible for admission at the Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, candidates must have passed their 10+2 level board examinations for UG Programmes from any recognized board of education.

 

The Swarnim Gujarat Sports University has been recognized and ranked by various prestigious ranking organizations of India and abroad. Over the years, SGSU has signed various MoUs and technical collaborations with top and reputed universities of India and abroad to promote student exchange programmes, start Joint Research Project, FDP, Sports Competitions, etc. 
SGSU has a team of highly qualified and well experienced faculty members who are determined to train and shape the students according to their abilities and qualities for the appropriate roles in the future.
