Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapur laid its foundation as a Postgraduate Centre of Sri Venkateswara University in the year 1967. However, with due course of time, i.e. in 1981 the Postgraduate Centre attained the status of a University. Starting with just 5 departments during its inception, the University has now come up with a total of 5 on-campus colleges:

Shri Krishnadevraya University offers 8 undergraduate courses, 11 post graduate courses and 2 research programs under its 5 on campus colleges. Students under undergraduate program have the options of BA, B.Tech. B.Sc., B.Com, BBM, B.Pharma., B.Ed., B.P.Ed whereas the post graduate curriculum has M.Tech., M.Pharma., MCA, MBA, MA, M.Sc., M.Com, MPED, MSW, MLISC, PGDISM. 

Along with the UG and PG courses, the university has the option for PhD and M.Phil program as well, with 20 specializations. The admissions to the university begin by the end of March every year and for that admission forms are available online on skuniversity.ac.in and on University campus.

Scores in 10+2 examinations are considered for the admission to undergraduate courses like BA, B.com. B.Sc., B.Ed. and BPED. 
Candidates can apply for SKUCET for entrance in the university.
Every candidate applying for B.Tech. needs to clear JEE Mains and Advance exam along with state level entrance exams considered by the university. 
For M.Tech. Admissions, scores in GATE/ PGECET exam are considered by the admission committee.
Any applicant for MBA course, need to sit for ICET exam that is conducted for admissions at state level or CAT/ MAT at national level. 
The admission committee verifies the performance in 10+2 examinations and respective entrance test of each and every applicant, after submission of required documents through the official registration ID of student.
A final merit list will be released for the selected students in respective courses on the official website itself.

Shri Krishnadevraya University established in 1981 is an UGC approved university with Venkateshwara Group of Universities as its founding member. Scholarships are awarded to meritorious students every year. 

Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra, Nadine and WhatsApp regularly visit the university and every year more than 300 students are benefited with on campus placements. The highest package offered is 4 lakh p.a. and 2 lakh p.a. are the average salary package.

 

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must have successfully completed 10+2 from any recognized educational board before applying to any UG course.
The admission committee demands minimum 50% aggregate in 10+2 examinations to be eligible for any specialization.
Selection Criteria
Students applying for any UG course will be selected entirely on the basis of their scores in 10+2 examinations.
Final selection is done at the college level by the college management and the principal of college. 
A merit list of selected students is released by the university once the board examination results have been declared. 

 

Eligibility criteria

  • All applicants for the B.ED course must have cleared intermediate examination of the board of intermediate examination or with any other 10+2 level examination recognized board in the country. 
  • It is compulsory for all applicants to give the EdCET conducted at the state level to be eligible for admission to the course. 

Selection Criteria

  • The admission to B.Ed. course is done on the basis of the state level entrance exam called ‘Education Common entrance test’, conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh. 
  • Obtaining minimum rank is required for the student to be selected for the course further. 
  • Seats available with the university are filled based on rank obtained in EdCET and the rules laid down for reservation. 

SKU B.P.Ed Admissions 2022

B.P.Ed. is offered by Shri Krishnadevraya University to interested students who have already completed a three-year degree program. It adds onto the educational qualification of the student later on.

  • Applicants should be of minimum 19 years in age to be eligible for application to the B.P.Ed. course.
  • Students must have completed a three-year degree program from any university in Andhra Pradesh or an equivalent recognized university.

Selection Criteria

  • Selection of candidates to the B.P.Ed. course is based on the rank obtained in the state level entrance exam, ‘Physical education common entrance test’ or PECET. 
  • Final merit list is released on basis of the number of applicants and the maximum rank in PECET in the current year. 
  • Seats with the university are filled in based on the student’s rank in PECET and the seats available per category of reservation. 

SKU B.Pharma Admissions 2022

B.Pharma. is available as a four-degree course at SKU, admission for which is based on the entrance exam conducted by the state and national entrance exams. Students must keep up with all of them to secure admission.

  • Admission to B.Pharma begins with the students giving the state level entrance exam ‘Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Medical Common Entrance Test’ or EAMCET. 
  • Final selection list of students is released based on the rank obtained in EAMCET by them and the reservation rules of the university. 
  • Candidates are also admitted in 1st year as long as they are Diploma holders or B.Sc. graduates with Mathematics as one of the subjects and having given ECET. 

SKU B.Tech Admissions 2022

B.Tech. is one of the popular UG courses of the university and every applicant has to sit for JEE Mains and Advance exam to be eligible for it. Once you have cleared the exam, following specializations are available for application.

  • The combined result of ranking in JEE exam and performance in 10+2 examinations will be considered later on.
  • All students must also sit for the state level entrance exam EAMCET for admission.

Selection Criteria

  • Say student’s admission will be finalized on the basis of performance in JEE Mains, EAMCET rank and 10+2 annual examinations.
  • The cut off marks for JEE are released by the central authority and a minimum of 78% is expected to be selected for the course. The common rank list scores of JEE are much higher and close to 89% as expected in the year 2022. 
  • Final selection is done after all applicants have given the EAMCET exam conducted at the state level.
  • Rank obtained by the student in the EAMCET along with other marks decides the final merit list released by SKU for B.Tech.

MA, M.Com, M.Sc., MPED, MSW and MLISC are the options available to the students under post graduate curriculum. The admissions are finalized on the basis of the Shri Krishnadevraya University Common Entrance Tests (SKUCET).

  • Students with a bachelor’s degree in their respective stream will only be considered for admissions.
  • Every applicant must maintain 40% aggregate in their bachelor’s study program to be eligible for admission.

SKU M.Tech Admissions 2022

Students applying for M.Tech have options under the 3 specializations prescribed the directorate of curriculum. Every applicant must clear GATE exam to be considered for the admission into the university. The student can apply for any of the following specialization:

  • Before applying to M.Tech, applicants need to appear for GATE exam conducted by National Test Agency.

Selection Criteria

  • 70% of the available seats are filled up based on the rank obtained in GATE or PGECET. 
  • 30% seats are open for sponsored candidates first and then to meritorious students, for which selection is done based on guidelines issued by government of Andhra Pradesh.

SKU has started with MBA as a post graduate program recently and many students have been admitted to this course. All the applicants need to appear either for Common Aptitude Test or Management Aptitude Test to take admission into MBA.
