Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) is located in Sangrur district, Punjab. SLIET Longowal Admissions
Admissions to all courses are entrance based. The Entrance Test for admission to B.E. Lateral (SET-III), M.Sc. (SET-VI), MBA (SET-IV), Ph.D.(SET-V) will be held on 9th October, 2020. Besides this, admissions to B.E are on the basis of JEE Main, admissions for M.Tech on the basis of GATE, for M.Sc on the basis of CCMN Counselling, and for MBA on the basis of CAT, CMAT, or GATE. Select the course you want to apply for.
Sign up and register yourself.
Fill the form carefully with all the necessary details.
Upload the required documents.
Pay the application fee through debit card, credit card, or internet banking.

SLIET Longowal Facilities
Some of the facilities offered by the institute include:
Central Library: The library houses a total of 111461 books in its 9247 departmental libraries. Additionally, there is audio and video material, news papers, periodicals and magazines available.
Hostels: SLIET has 9 boys hostels The capacity of each hostel is 235 students, and the capacity of the PG Hostel is 80 students. There are also 4 Girls Hostel with a capacity of 230 students in each hostel and the capacity of the PG Girls Hostel is 81 students.
Health Centre: The facilities provided by the centre include Homeopathy Consultation, Ayurved Consultation, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Minor OT, ECG, Ambulance, Vaccination, Oxygen Supply System, Nebulizer, Suction, DOT Centre, Sterilization, and First Aid Kit, among others.
Other facilities offered include Sports, Innovation Cell, Workshops, etc.

Established in 1991, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is a government institute with a deemed university status. An AICTE and UGC-approved institute, it has been approved by the NAAC with a ‘B+’ grade, and ranked 133rd among engineering colleges in India by the NIRF. SLIET is fully funded by the MHRD.

For admission to M.Tech, a candidate must have a B.Tech degree with 60% marks. For selection, candidates have to take the GATE. The cutoff for Round 1 is 489- 638.
The institute offers the MBA course to candidates with a graduate degree in any field with 55% marks. If they are eligible, the candidates then have to take either the GATE, or CAT, or CMAT to be selected for admission.
The institute invites applications for its M.Sc course. Those with a B.Sc degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks are eligible to apply. For selection, candidates have to go for CCMN counselling.
The students who wish to pursue a PhD can apply if they have a Masters degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks. The selection process consists of a written test (the SET-V) followed by an interview.
The institute has a decent placement record. 450+ students were placed in 2018-19. The average CTC hovers around 350,000 INR. The recruiting companies include Asian Paints, Coca-Cola, Cognizant and Tata Consultancy Services.
