Ranchi University Admission

Admission to Ranchi University is based on both merit and entrance test scores. The registration is done through online mode. Those who wish to apply can download the application form from the official website of the university.

Ranchi University UG Admission

For admission to undergraduate courses, candidates should have passed class 12th with minimum 50% marks from a reputed board. The university will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their marks.

Ranchi University is a teaching cum affiliating University located in the state of Jharkhand. It is a state university which was established in the year 1960. At present, the University offers UG, PG & Research programs along with vocational courses in various specializations.

 

At present Ranchi University has 23 PG departments, 15 constituent colleges, and 49 affiliating colleges. Admission to all the courses is either merit-based or entrance-based. 

  • Admission to the MBA program is via CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA exam score.
  • M.Tech admissions are done based on GATE exam scores followed by CCMT counseling.

Ranchi University MBBS, BDS, Nursing Admission 2022

Ranchi university offers four courses in the undergraduate category of the medical stream. For MBBS and BDS, the eligibility is a candidate must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects being compulsory. The selection will be done through the NEET-UG score and after the state counseling session. For Basic B.Sc. Nursing, the candidate should have cleared his 12th standard with PCBE subjects, obtaining 50% marks in aggregate and for Post Basic Nursing he/she should have passed IA/ ISC or ICom along with a diploma in general Nursing and midwifery. The admission to both courses will be merit-based.

Ranchi University B.Tech Admission 2022

Ranchi University offers B.Tech. of 4 years duration with nine specializations. The minimum eligibility for B.Tech. is a pass in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The candidates will be selected based on the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) score or JEE Main score. After selection from JCECE and JEE Main score, if any seats are left, the candidates will be selected based on the score in Class 12th.

Ranchi University M.Tech Admission 2022

M.Tech. the course is available at Cambridge Institute of Technology with 2 specializations – Civil Engineering (Structural) and Mechanical Engineering (CAD/CAM). The duration of the program is for two years with a total of 18 seats each. The total fees of all the four semesters of M.Tech. the course is INR 2,13, 200. The candidates will be selected through an entrance test called GATE. After getting shortlisted in the merit list of GATE, the candidate will be called for the counseling.

Ranchi University MBA Admission 2022

MBA is a two-year full-time course offered by the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) with the availability of 240 seats. The fees of MBA course is INR 20,000 per year (general and OBC categories). The selection for the course will be based on an entrance exam such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, and ATMA. After the entrance test, the candidate will also be judged on the basis of his/her past academic record, the work experience, and the group discussion and personal interview.

The eligibility for M.Tech. is, the candidate should have passed B.E. or B.Tech. program in the respective field with at least 60% marks. The selection will be done on the basis of GATE score with Centralized Counseling for M.Tech. (CCMT). The University also offers M. Phil and Ph.D. at the doctorate level. For UG/PG courses

  1. Click on the official website of Ranchi University.
  2. Click on the UG Admission Form Sample for Students/ PG Admission form sample for students
  3. Download the application form, fill the relevant details, and sign the declaration.
  4. The candidate has to submit the form to the University address along with the necessary documents.
  5. For making the payment of the registration fee, the candidate has to get a crossed DD made of the relevant amount and submit it along with the filled-in application form and the necessary documents.

For MBA

  1. The candidate wanting to take admission to MBA has to submit the Online Supplementary Application Form (OSAF), whose link is available on the official website.
  2. The candidate can obtain OSAF copy and other documents directly from Ranchi University.
  3. After making the submission of OSAF, the candidate will immediately receive a PDF copy of OSAF in their email which the candidate has to take a print out of, on an A4 paper along with the required documents.
  4. The student can now make the application fee payment of INR 500 in the form of an A/C payee DD in favor of “Vocational A-1 MBA COURSE”, payable at RANCHI. 
  5. After making the payment, send the application or submit it to the following address:

  4. Now, pay the registration fee in the form of demand draft (DD) of INR 1200 ( INR 600 for ST/SC Candidates of Jharkhand) drawn in favor of Registrar, Ranchi University, Ranchi payable at Ranchi which should be enclosed along with the application form.
  5. Now submit the application form, DD, and the related documents in the office of Controller of Examinations, RU, Ranchi.

For Vocational Courses

  1. Candidate can visit the University department of Botany, Ranchi University, Ranchi, Basic Science Building, Morhabadi, and obtain the application form.
  2. For obtaining the form, the candidate has to pay the application form fees.
  3. The fee of the form is INR 800, which has to be paid in the form of crossed DD drawn in favor of “Vocation A-1, Biotech”, Ranchi University, Ranchi from any bank, payable at Ranchi.
  4. The candidate also has to write the name and course applied for, at the back of the DD.
