Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) offers UG, PG & Ph.D. degree programs under various faculties such as Agriculture, Seed Technology, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science at its main campus (Rajendranagar) & constituent colleges located in Telangana.

The minimum eligibility for UG admission at PJTSAU is the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board. For admission to PG courses, a candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Candidates should submit the application forms along with the required fee in the form of Demand Draft (DD).

For UG courses, the candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the TS EAMCET, conducted annually by the Department of Higher Education of the Government of Telangana. Selection to PG & Ph.D. programs will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by ICAR on all India basis.

PJTSAU Telangana B.Tech & B.Sc Admission 2022

The university offers B.Tech and B.Sc course in various specializations at the undergraduate level. Admission to all UG courses (except B.Sc. Home Science) is based on the performance in state-level common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

University also conducts AGRIENGGCET for B.Tech Agriculture Engineering and AGRICET for B.Sc in Agriculture for the admission of diploma holders in respective courses.

Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses at PJSTAU need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria i.e. a pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized university. 

Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech, B.Sc courses can apply online through the official website of the PJTSAU. Upon primary registration on the official website of PJTSAU, candidates need to apply for the TS-EAMCET examination via the respective portal.

PJTSAU Telangana M.Tech & M.Sc Admission 2022

PJTSAU offers multiple postgraduate courses such as M.Tech, MBA and M.Sc in several disciplines. For admission to PG courses offered by the university, candidates should have passed the relevant Bachelors Degree examination. Only the candidates who have appeared for ICAR entrance examination are eligible for admission to PJTSAU. The upper age limit to apply for the course is 40 years as on July 1 of the year of admission.

Selection of candidates for M.Sc/ M.Tech shall be done on the basis of their previous academic record at Under Graduate level (30% weightage) and performance in the entrance test (70% weightage) conducted by ICAR through AIEEA PG. In case of MBA Agri-Business Management, the selection shall be based on the performance in entrance test, conducted by ICAR through AIEEA PG.

In the case of MBA (Agri. Business Management) course, 10% seats are reserved for NRIs / Industry Sponsored Candidates.

PJTSAU Telangana Ph.D Admission 2022

PJTSAU offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in various specializations at the research level. Selection of candidates to Ph.D is done on the basis of score obtained by a candidate in the entrance test conducted by ICAR. For admission to Ph.d course, the candidate should have completed Master of Science or an equivalent examination in Agriculture or Home Science or Agricultural Engineering as the case may be, in the concerned field of specialisation with atleast 50% marks in the aggregate.

The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at post graduate/under graduate level and performance test conducted by ICAR through AICE-JRF/SRF(PGS) and the weightage would be in the ratio of 60:30:10 (60% Entrance Marks, 30% M.Sc Marks and 10% B.Sc. Marks).

PJTSAU Telangana Application Process 2022

For PG, Ph.D courses:

Candidates are required to visit the website and fill the OTR (onetime registration) application.
The applicant should furnish all the details while filling the Online Application Form. While filling the online application form, the applicant is advised to save the application in draft form until final submission.
Upon successful submission, an application number will be generated which can also be used for future correspondence.
The scanned passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) photograph of the applicant should be in JPEG format of and not exceed 1 MB file size.
The applicant’s signature should be scanned in JPEG format of [3.5 cm x1.5 cm] and not exceed 1 MB file size.
The documents to be uploaded should be scanned in png/jpg/jpeg only. The size of the scanned documents to be uploaded should not exceed 1MB.
For OC/BC applicants, the fee is INR 1600 and for SC/ST candidates, the fee is INR 850. 
Fee can be submitted through Debit Card /Credit Card (Visa / Master Card)/NET banking/ Wallet.
Upon successful submission and payment, the applicant will be able to print the application form. The applicant should enable “background graphics” in print option before taking a print of the uploaded application form.
The computer generated hard copy of the completed application, in all respects, including certificates/payment of fee should be sent through by Speed Post only to the following address:

Note: For admission into Ph.D. programmes, the candidates should have submitted the M.Sc. level thesis on or before the last date prescribed for the receipt of applications and must complete the thesis final viva voce examination successfully as on the date of registration in case of selected candidates.

Copies of the following documents shall be enclosed along with the application:

e-Admit Card/Application No. and ICAR –Entrance Marks / Rank
Memoranda of marks (all years) obtained at the qualifying (B.Sc. level) examination or transcript.
Provisional/degree certificate of the qualifying examination.
Study certificates from Heads of recognised educational institutions from VI class onwards. (Those who appeared for any examination by private study should enclose residence certificate.)
Social Status Certificates issued by the competent authority, in case of candidates belonging to BC / SC/ STs. The admission given under this quota shall be provisional till the genuineness of the social status claim of the candidate is certified by the respective Directorate of the Government.
Certificate regarding achievements at B.Sc. level in NCC / NSS / Sports / Games / Cultural / Literary activities at Inter National / Inter State / Inter University level, if applicable.
Date of birth certificate
Certificate towards physically disabled, if any
Residential (Latest certificate issued by the Telangana Government), Certificate.
Aadhaar Card or 28 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID proof or Passport or Ration card or Bank Passbook or any other valid Govt. Identity proof
Conduct certificate for the head of the institute from the last attended.
Originals of the above certificates should be submitted at the time of admission.
