NIMHANS Admissions
The admission at NIMHANS is based on the merit obtained in the entrance test conducted by the institute. The candidates must secure at least 50% marks to be eligible for the admission.
How to Apply?
The application should be submitted through Online mode (only) along with all the required documents. All claims made in the application must be supported with documentary proof in original along with a set of photocopies at the time of interview/admission.The steps to apply are:

After successful registration, sign in using Id and password obtained on the given email.

All Foreign Nationals (holding passports of countries other than India) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) can apply for admission at NIMHANS under the “Foreign National” category.

Conduct of Online Entrance Test
Eligible candidates for Online Entrance Test will be informed to download the e-hall ticket, which should be produced at the time of Online Entrance Test Centre.
Online Entrance Test will be conducted in the following cities for Session 1:
For PG courses: Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune.
For UG courses: Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin and Hyderabad.

The question paper for the Online Entrance test will contain multiple choice objective type questions. The duration of the test for each course will be 90 minutes and the number of questions to be answered is 100.
There will be negative marking and 0.25 marks will be deducted for all wrong answers. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

NIMHANS Facilities
Some of the facilities provided by the college include:
Hostel: The campus includes hostels for both male and female students and doctors. The hostel includes all the basic facilities including a mess with three meals a day. It is a home away from home.
Library: The library includes a reference as well as a borrowing section. It provides various services like Off-campus Access service, Literature search service, OPAC search service for e-journals and online catalogues and many more.
Gymnasium: The Gymkhana provides facility for the social and physical wellbeing of the NIMHANS family.
Canteen: The OPD block has a canteen which can be a good place for a break from the hectic schedule.
Coffee Shop: There is a small coffee shop within the campus which provides other light snacks as well.
At the Doctorate level, NIMHANS offers M.Phil & Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) courses in various streams. NIMHANS Online Application form can be filled to apply for the courses offered.
Admission to all the courses is based on the marks obtained in the NIMHANS Entrance Exam followed by an interview. Candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in the entrance test in order to be eligible for admission.
15%, 7.5% and 27% reservation as per the Government regulation are available to SC, ST and OBC categories respectively. Students must note that no reservation is available in DM and M.Ch seats.
3% of the total seats in PG courses are reserved for persons with above 40% and less than 70% disability (Sensory & Orthopedic) except for Nursing, DM, MD, M.Ch and PDF courses.
NIMHANS B.Sc Admission 2022
NIMHANS offers B.Sc course in the full-time mode at the undergraduate level. Duration for the B.Sc pograms is 4 years. 10+2 with PCB is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Candidates are selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the institute.

At the postgraduate level, NIMHANS offers full-time MD, M.Sc, MPH and PG Diploma courses in multiple specializations. The duration of postgraduate courses offered by National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences is 2 Years.
MBBS degree holders are eligible to apply for MD and MPH courses while B.Sc in the relevant discipline is mandatory for M.Sc program. Admission is based on NIMHANS Entrance Exam conducted by the university followed by an interview.

NIMHANS Doctorate Admission 2022
The university also offers courses like M.Phil, Ph.D., Fellowship and PDF at Doctorate level. Students need to appear in an entrance exam which is conducted by the institute itself. The candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in the entrance in order to be eligible for the admission.
Candidates who have cleared UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT or equivalent exams or working as JRF/SRF are exempted from the entrance test. Such candidates need to appear in an interview round only.

NIMHANS Entrance Test 2022
The Institutes conducts an Online entrance examination, NIMHANS entrance exam. The test consists of multiple choice objective type questions which a candidate need to solve in a duration of 90 minutes. There will be 100 MCQ type questions. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for an incorrect answer.
