Magadh University is a state-public university located in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. The university is approved by the UGC and accredited with a "C" grade by the NAAC. It is the largest university in Bihar with a campus sprawling over 460-acres, which comprises 24 PG departments and 44 constituent colleges. Besides that, there are 175 Magadh University affiliated colleges. At present, Magadh University is offering UG, PG, Doctoral, Diploma, and vocational degree courses in various fields. Recognized by the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Magadh University is also offering distance education through its affiliated colleges.
Magadh University admission to the UG courses is based on merit in the qualifying examination. Magadh University PG admissions are done on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the university. Candidates seeking admission to the research level program must appear for the Pre Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT). Final admissions are offered on the basis of the merit list released by the university.

Magadh University Admission
Magadh University keeps the application process in both Online & Offline mode. Admission to UG programs at Magadh University is based on the last qualifying examination. A merit list will be released by the university shortlisted students must visit the campus on time for document verification, counseling, and confirmation the admission.
To secure a seat for Magadh University M.Ed program, the university conducts an entrance exam & candidates with valid marks can get admission to the M.Ed program. Magadh University Scholarships
Magadh University does not provide scholarships or fee waivers to its students but students can avail scholarships by registering at the National Scholarship Portal given by Govt of India. At that portal, deserving, meritorious & needy students can have financial benefits as there are several Central Schemes & UGC/ AICTE Schemes.
The university assists students in obtaining education loans and regarding its documentation. Besides scholarships, the students can also opt for government loans up to INR 4 Lacs. Being a government scheme, the rate of interest on these loans is extremely low around 3%.

Magadh University offers admission to the UG, PG, and Research level courses. At UG level regular courses like B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Lib.Sc, B.Voc courses are offered along with professional courses such as B.Ed, B.P.Ed, LLB are also provided. To be eligible for these courses students must have 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level from a recognized board. Selection will be made on the basis of secured merit in the last qualifying examinations.
Courses like M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Lib.Sc are offered at PG domain with some professional courses such as MBA, M.Ed, MCA, etc. Students should pass graduation with 50% marks in aggregate in relevant subjects from a recognized university to be eligible for a PG program. Admission will be granted on the basis of secured merit in the qualifying examination except for the M.Ed course, students need to appear in the entrance exam conducted by Magadh University itself. For an MBA course, students need to clear the CAT cut-off. After clearing the entrance examination, eligible students will be called for the counselling process.
At the research level, the university has PhD courses to offer in multiple specializations.
