Karnatak University, Dharwad (KUD) traces its roots back to 1st March, 1950. It is the second oldest university of the state. The university has been recognized as “Potential of Excellence” by University Grants Commission. It has its campuses at Haveri, Belgaum, Dharwad, Bijapur and Gadag. It has 249 colleges, affiliated under it. The admission to the Ph.D programmes is based on the written test of 100 marks. All the questions will be MCQs type. The candidates who qualify the written test have to appear for the Personal Interview round. The candidates, who have qualified GATE, NET, SLET, JRF or are FIP/QIP fellows, need not appear for the written test.

The candidates who wish to apply for the Doctoral courses need to fill the application form, available at the official web portal of the university. The payment is made through online mode.
