Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (JNKVV) was established in the year 1964. It is a public university located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. JNKVV is approved and accredited UGC. JNKVV Courses and Eligibility Criteria

JNKVV Undergraduate Programme

  • JNKVV offers B.Sc. course two specializations which are agriculture and forestry. The duration of the programme is 3-year. Students who have passed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, biology as compulsory subjects.
  • JNKVV also offers B.Tech. course in agriculture engineering. The course duration is 4-year.

JNKVV Postgraduate Programme

  • JNKVV offers M.Sc. in two specializations which are agriculture and forestry. Students who have completed their graduation in the same specialization are eligible for the programme.
  • JNKVV also offers M.Tech and MBA courses.

JNKVV Doctorate Programme

  • JNKVV offers the Ph.D. programme in agriculture and agriculture engineering.
  • The students who have completed their graduation and post-graduation from a recognized university are eligible for the programme.

 

JNKVV Admissions

  • JNKVV offers admission in the university through entrance examination.
  • Admission of candidates to Bachelor Degree course of the University shall be made through the entrance test being conducted by the Professional Examination Board, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
  • Candidates selected by ICAR entry test shall be admitted over and above the prescribed seats from time to time.

Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University, also known as Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV), is a public university located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh that imparts education, research and extension activities in the field of Agriculture and Allied Sciences.

The academic programme of the University can be summed up as follows:

  • The University offers three Bachelor's Degree programmes viz., B.Sc. (Ag.), B.Sc. (Forestry), and B.Tech. (Agri. Engg.).
  • The Master's Degree programmes are available in 13 subjects under the Faculty of Agriculture and in three subjects under the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering. A programme on Master of "Agri-Business Management" is also available.
  • The Ph.D. programmes are available in 11 subjects under the Faculty of Agriculture.
  • The University also offers diploma courses of two years in “Horticulture” on "Seed Production" and "Nursery Management" at Horticulture Vocational Education Institute, Sagar, MP.

This unified course curriculum, in all the three (undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral) programmes, is offered, as per the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) norms. The admission to JNKVV is conducted through online procedures. Two separate entrance examinations are organized: one for admission to UG programmes (PAT) and another for combined admission to PG and doctoral degree programmes.

The candidates selected through the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) entry test, are admitted over and above the prescribed seats from time to time. Admission to NRI are done subject to their fulfilment of the prescribed minimum admission requirement and other conditions laid down by the Govt. of M.P. (Department of Agriculture) and the V.V. from time to time.

 

JNKVV UG Admission 2022

The University offers Bachelor’s degree programmes (in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Forestry) of four-year duration through the semester system. The University admits students to UG programmes through Pre-Agriculture Test (PAT), a MP State level unified entrance test, conducted by the Professional Examination Board (VYAPAM), Bhopal.

Candidates selected through the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) entry test are admitted over and above the prescribed seats from time to time. An overview of the number of seats and the criteria of eligibility for admission to these programmes is given below:

JNKVV PG Admission 2022

A joint online entrance examination is organized every year for admission to PG and doctoral programmes of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (RVSKVV), Gwalior, and Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV), Jabalpur. Some crucial facts regarding the process of admission are mentioned below:

  •  The common merit list is based on the results of the entrance test and the students are admitted to various Master’s and Ph.D. degree programmes available at JNKVV and RVSKVV, as per common merit and seat availability in different disciplines.
  •  The candidates who qualify for online counselling are considered for allocation of the subject and the agricultural university or college as per counselling procedure.
  •  There is no direct nomination or admission to any Master’s or Ph.D. degree programme without qualifying the entrance examination.
  •  Candidates of JNKVV and RVSKVV are given priority and called for the first counselling. Candidates of other universities are considered for second counselling only if the seats remain vacant after the first one.
  •  The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance examination is 40% for unreserved & OBC categories, and 30% for SC & ST category candidates.
  •  The online examination features one question paper for each of the major subjects, containing a 100 MCQs, each with four options.
  •  There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
  •  The Online examination centres include Jabalpur, Rewa, Bhopal, Indore & Gwalior. Students are required to exercise three preferences for the centre of examination. The centre of examination is allotted by MP Online Limited, Bhopal as per available facilities & procedure.

Students can check their result through MP online portal. The University provides two broad kinds of courses:

  2. Engineering PG and research courses that are furnished by the Faculty of Agriculture Engineering
