Goa University offers education in various streams like engineering, commerce, management, science, and arts. Candidates are selected on the basis of an entrance test namely GU ART for admission to PG courses. The university keeps the application process in Online mode so that students can apply for any curriculum from anywhere. The steps need to be followed while applying for Goa Univeristy: 

• Candidates must visit the official website of Goa University. 
• Students must check the admission page & apply for the desired course. 
• Fill in all the requisite personal & academic details correctly. 
• Candidates are required to take a print copy of the filled-in application form, generated by the system in PDF format, immediately after online submission of the form.
• The print copy of the application form, duly signed by the candidate along with the Demand Draft and attested copies of required documents should be dispatched by Speed Post. 
• Candidate should mention name, Reference Number and the Program name applied for on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.

Goa University Scholarship

The university has a number of scholarships, freeships, research studentship available for deserving and meritorious students. Listed below are the details for the same: 

• Merit Scholarship: The students securing more than 60% marks in the qualifying examination in respect of Arts, Commerce & Management Studies and at least 65% of the aggregate marks in Science Streams are eligible.
• Free Studentship: The students whose parents’ income does not exceed INR 3 LPA can apply for this. The candidate must have secured at least 45% marks in Arts, Commerce & Management Studies and 50% marks in the Science stream. 
• Research Studentship: Full-time research scholars who have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in Master’s degree and whose Ph.D. registration has been confirmed are eligible.

Goa University Facilities

Following are some of the facilities offered by the university to cater to the need of the students: 

• Hostels: There are separate hostel facilities for both the male and female students on the university campus. There are 2 hostels each for men and women with well-equipped facilities like Mess, WiFi connectivity, Sports, TV room, Bus service, etc. Priority is given to students who have enrolled for PG programs and research scholars in the university. • Library: There is a huge collection of over 208519 books, 35827 reference books, 243 journals, and 214 e-books. Apart from this, students can also have access to digital databases, CDs, DVDs, and e-journals. A total of 120 students can be seated in the library. 
• Computer Centre: The university computer centre was set up with the assistance of UGC to provide IT services to both faculty and students. It is equipped with all the latest software for easy access. There are a total of 24 computer labs spread over the university with internet connectivity of 1 Gbps. 

• Goa University Admission 2022 is currently open for MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MSW, MTTM, and B.Ed courses. The last date to submit the application form is March 31, 2022. The application forms can be filled online on the official website of GOA University @unigoa.ac.in. Candidates can apply a maximum of three subjects/specializations for the PG programs and a maximum of two subjects/specializations for the B.Ed. program. The application fee for admission is INR 600 (for general category) and INR 300 (for SC/ST).

  Admission to the MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MSW, MTTM, and B.Ed courses will be granted on the basis of the Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART). The GU-ART round 1 will be conducted on 8, 15, 22, and 29 May 2022 in the alloted test centers.   BE admission is offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in Goa CET (GCET)conducted by DTE Goa while the admission to B.Arch program is granted on the basis of a valid score in NATA.

  Selection Process:

  Admission to Ph.D program is offered on the basis of Goa University – Ph.D Entrance Test (GU-PET). Candidates will be selected on the merit of entrance exam followed by Personal Interview.

  Seats in Goa university will be granted as per score of JRF/M.Phil/NET/SET/GATE/GPAT examination. Vacant seats will be filled as per the merit of GU-PET. 

  Note: Applicants who have qualified in the examinations like CSIR- NET/ UGC-NET/ JRF/lectureship/ SET/SLET/ GATE/ ICAR/ ICMR/ DBT/ DST-Inspire are exempted from the university-based entrance test.

  Application fee for Ph.D.: Candidates have to pay INR 600 (INR 350 for reserved categories). The Application fee for the candidates who are exempted from the entrance examination is INR 2000.

  Goa University Reservation
  Goa University offers reservation to the deserving candidates of various categories. The reservation of seats in various courses is as follows:

  2% of seats in each of the Post Graduate program are reserved for candidates belonging to SC category. 
  12% of seats in Post Graduate program (minimum of one seat), shall be reserved for candidates belonging to ST category. 
  27% of total seats (minimum of two seats) shall be reserved for candidates belonging to other backward classes (OBC).
  5% of total seats (minimum one seat) shall be reserved for differently abled candidates (as per State Government directives). 
  1% of the total seats shall be reserved for Children of Ex- servicemen.
  10% of seats, where a maximum of two seats and a minimum of one seat in each programme of study, except the MCA & MBA programmes of study, shall be made available for candidates of other Universities.
  15% of seats are reserved for overseas candidates, who are eligible for admission and are recommended by Govt. of India under scholarship from Govt. of India or under exchange programme (ICCR Programme)
  Out of the 15% supernumerary seats, one seat in each program will be reserved for Kashmiri Migrants (KM) as per directives of the UGC.
