Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth is providing the students with the best of facilities and excellent education. The University is excellent because the students passing out have been placed very well. The Vidyapeeth comprises of Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune.

It got its status of University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 in 2003 of the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Secondary & Higher Education, New Delhi and the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
The D.Y. Patil Education Society was set up in the year 1987. Since then it has been providing the best of education in the area of health sciences
The Vidyapeeth was accredited with an 'A' Grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.08 in the month of September 2009 for the period of five years
The University provides for one of the best medical colleges. The MBBS degree that is conferred is recognized by the Government of Malaysia
It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU)

  • Established in 2003, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth University is situated in Pune, Maharashtra. The university offers B.Sc., P.B.B.Sc., B.P.T, B.Optometry, B.Tech and B.B.A. at the UG level. It offers M.Sc., M.P.T., M. Optometry, M.Tech. Integrated Biotechnology, M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.B.A at the PG level.

    Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth University requires candidates to fulfil the eligibility criteria in order to seek admission. The eligibility requirement for B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc Biotechnology is 10+2 in science stream with min. 45% marks in PCBE subjects.

    .B.Sc Nursing., the candidate must have passed the course of General Nursing and Midwifery. Eligibility requirement for B.P.T Physiotherapy and B. Optometry is 10+2 with min. 50% marks in the relevant subjects.
    The eligibility criteria for BBA program is a 10+2 in any stream.

    Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria are further required to appear for the AIAHCET entrance test. Candidates having a valid score in the entrance test will be shortlisted for admission to the bachelor programs.

    The minimum eligibility criteria for M.Sc. Nursing, M.P.T. and M. Optometry is, the candidate must have passed bachelor’s in the relevant discipline. Admission of the candidates will be done on the basis of their respective Entrance Test score.

    Further, for B.Sc. in Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology admission, the eligibility requirement is passed in Class 12th or equivalent in the relevant subjects with 45% marks.

    In M.Tech Integrated Biotechnology, the candidate must have passed XII Std. or equivalent with PCB/Life Sciences with min. 45% marks in PCB subjects.

    For Admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology and MBA , the candidate must have done Bachelor’s in the related/any discipline respectively. For admission to M.Tech.program candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a valid score in the entrance test conducted by the institute.

    MBA admissions will be granted on the basis of a valid score in CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / ATMA score and GD/PI round following it.

    Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth University offers B.Sc. Nursing, P.B.B.Sc. Nursing, B.P.T. and B. Optometry courses at the under-graduation level.

    Eligibility: 
    The minimum eligibility under B.Sc. Nursing is, the candidate must have passed 10+2 in the science stream with min. 45% marks in PCBE subjects. 

    For P.B.B.Sc., the candidate must have passed the course of General Nursing and Midwifery. 

    Under B.P.T Physiotherapy, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCB subjects with the required marks. 

    For B.Optometry, the candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent with min. PCB/ M&E with 50% marks.

D.Y. Patil University (DPU) offers B.Tech with specialisations in Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology, and B.B.A. at the undergraduate level. The minimum eligibility for B.Sc. in Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology is, the candidate must have passed Class 12th or equivalent in the relevant subjects with 45% marks. For B.B.A., the candidate must have passed class 12th from any stream with 45% marks in aggregate.
The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2021.
Relaxation of 5% of aggregate marks will be provided to the candidates of ST/SC category.

Though Dr D. Y. Patil is a great college, the fee structure is too heavy for people coming from a middle class family. The amount our money we spend on admission, exam and other expenses every year is too much and too hefty. The fees keep on increasing exponentially and it is really not feasible to spend 2 to 5 lakh every year. We do have only one scholarship for our student exchange program to Sweden.
