Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) is a prestigious university established in the year of 2009. What's New in CUTN?
Central University of Tamil Nadu is open for UG and PG courses. Admissions to UG courses will be done through CUET UG. CUET UG 2022 admit cards have been released, candidates can download the same through the official website - cuet.samarth.ac.in. CUET UG 2022 exam will now be conducted from July 15 to August 20, 2022. Candidates seeking admission to PG courses are required to appear for the CUET PG exam. The last date to apply for CUET PG has also been extended to July 10, 2022. Candidates can register for CUET PG 2022 on the official website of NTA - cuet.nta.nic.in.
The Central University of Tamil Nadu offers 62 programs, spread over 27 departments, and is home to over 2000 students. They have various undergraduate, integrated, postgraduate and research programs, and admissions are dependent on the results of the CUCET.
BPA applicants should have an aggregate of 50% in the qualifying exam from a recognized board.
B.Sc. applicants should have an aggregate of 60% in 10+2, in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology.
Integrated M.Sc. applicants must have an aggregate of 60% in 12th.
Integrated MBA applicants must have an aggregate of 60% in 12th with Economics/ Mathematics/ Statistics as one subject.
Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. applicants must have 60% in 12th with Mathematics/ Physics, Chemistry and Statistics as subjects.
MBA, MSW, MA, M Com, M Sc. candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 55%.
M Lib. I. Sc. should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.
LLM candidates should have an LLB degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
M Tech candidates should have passed bachelor’s/ M Sc. exam in the relevant area with at least 60%.
PGD candidates should have at least 55% in the bachelor’s exam in Chemistry.
Research (PhD/ M.Phil) candidates should qualify a master’s exam with at least 55% marks.
The admission is based on the entrance exam CUCET for UG and PG programs.
The admission to Ph.D program is based on UGC-JRF/ UGC-CSIR-JRF/ UGC NET

PhD applicants should have qualified the National Level Fellowship Examination (UGC-JRF/ UGC-CSIR-JRF).
If the candidate hasn’t appeared for the Fellowship exam, they must give the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET).
Candidates who have qualified the fellowship exam are exempt from the CUCET, and will directly appear for the interview.
How to apply for UG and PG Programs?
Application Process
Students can apply offline and online to CUTN.
They must also fill in the registration forms for CUCET.
If applying online, students will have to pay the application fee via various online modes of payment.
Offline applications require an E-challan at any SBI branch.
After the declaration of CUCET results, students who have opted for admission in CUTN will be shortlisted and called for counselling. Admissions are finalized based on eligibility, number of seats and fee payment.
