The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda popularly known as CUP Bathinda was established in 2009 and has been accredited with 'A' grade from NAAC. The Central University of Punjab is the youngest university that has secured its position in the top 100 institutions (95th Rank) in the University category & 1st amongst New Central Universities in the MHRD’s NIRF Ranking 2019.
The University is spread over a campus of 37 acres which offers only Masters and PhD programmes. Admission to most of its PG courses is based on the CUCET entrance exam. However, the university also accepts other national level entrance exams for admissions to some of the courses.

- Read out the eligibility norms and other important instructions given
- Fill out the necessary details including personal data and academic information
- Upload images i.e. signature and photograph
- Pay application fee of INR 800 for General category and INR 400 for reserved category
- Verify and submit the duly filled application form before the last date

CUP Bathinda Placements
The University’s Placement Cell facilitates interaction between the industries, companies and students who are in the final year of their course. Students being placed in credible organizations, getting an appropriate job in sync with their intellectual aptitude is the purpose of the placement cell.
CUP Bathinda Scholarships
- The College offers scholarships to the needy students but they need to meet a certain eligibility criteria as there is an entrance exam for scholarship. They need to maintain good academic results throughout the college.
- The scholarships are initiated by the State Government or Central Government for the meritorious and reserved categories.
- The institute also offers scholarships to students who performed well in academics.
CUP Bathinda Facilities
The college provides all the basic facilities to its students in its campus only. The infrastructure of the campus is quite well built with facilities like:
- Library: The college has a well established library on the campus. It presently has over 44,251 titles and subscribes to 45 international and national print journals
- Hostel: Boys’ and Girls’ hostel facilities are available in the campus. All rooms are furnished with solar water heaters.
- Gymnasium: An air-conditioned fully functional fitness centre is available for the students and staff of the Central University of Punjab.
- Transport: The university has purchased a 32 seater bus for convenience of the faculty and students. It shuttles between Bathinda city and the City Campus .
- Sports: Besides beautiful walking trails and bikeways around the campus, CUPB has good sports facilities for the students and staff. Indoor badminton and table tennis courts are available round the clock to foster sporting skills. Outdoor badminton, volleyball and basketball courts are ready for use.
CUP Bathinda Faculty
The faculty of CUP Bathinda is highly qualified and is expert in teaching in their respective subjects. Most of the faculty is trained from the best universities of US, Canada, Germany, England, Japan, Israel. The college administration is taken care of by vice chancellor Prof. R.K.Kohli who himself is very experienced and has done his PhD too. All the faculty members have also completed their Masters and most of them have PhD degrees also.
