Kumaun University consists of 3 main campuses in Almora, Nainital and Bhimtal and has 49 government and 50 private affiliated colleges. The college has a well-experienced and developed faculty of 350 members of Science, Commerce and Management, Arts, Education, Law, Medicine, Technology and Visual Arts and Pharmaceutical Sciences for teaching a total strength of 1,50,000 members and 9,99,999 alumni.
Kumaun University has achieved 75th position in the field of Pharmacy, according to the surveys conducted by NIRF in the year 2020. Besides this, the University has also been accredited with grade ‘A’ by NAAC and has also been approved by UGC.
The urban campus of Kumaun University has spread in 160 acres area that includes the central library, hostel, medical facilities, Himalayan Museum, laboratories etc. Besides this, the college also conducts extra curricular activities for overall development of the students like NSS, NCC and sports activities.

How to Apply:
Candidates seeking admission into the Kumaun University College can register online through the official website and submit the required application form along with the application fee. The necessary steps to apply are given below:
Visit the official website of the university and navigate to the Admission section.
Click on the link given for the online application.
A new Online Admission portal will open where the candidate must click on the desired program he/she wishes to pursue.
Before Applying online, Click on apply Online and candidates are required to deposit the fees by clicking on ‘PAY FEES’ tab.
Candidates will be redirected to a new web page where they can pay either online or can generate challan.
Enter the details asked by the bank during payment which will be transferred to the University record. Candidates will receive a 10 digit Character Transaction Number by the bank.
Provide bank transaction number and date of birth before starting the online application.
The university will receive fees payment within 24 hours, at the time of applying, the database will verify the payment and will allow you to proceed.
Fill the form carefully and upload the scanned Photograph and Signature in JPEG format.
After filling the form, the system will generate Registration Number and Password which would be sent to the candidate via SMS and Email.
Kumaun University Placements
The minimum eligibility criteria for getting placement criteria is to maintain 65% or above in the qualifying bachelor’s degree examination. After the end of the final semester, the students become eligible for the placements.
In the placement session of the year 2020, a total of 362 postgraduate students were recruited by the companies.

Medical Care: The university provides best medical facilities to the students as it has tied up with many hospitals in the district. There are also first aid services available in the university for emergencies. Each and every student is insured for medical claim (hospitalization) of INR 75,000 and medical claim (daycare) of INR 10,000.
Central Library: The central library of the University is a wealthy library maintaining a rich collection of more than 3.5 lakh books, theses, periodicals, standards, reprints, maps etc. The books available here are of different fields of Basic Sciences, Humanities, Technology and Allied Sciences etc.
Laboratory: The Kumaun University has different laboratories for different operations.
