Description
Indian Statistical Institute is a government institute that trains students in statistics and related sciences. ISI has its headquarters in Kolkata with 4 more centres operating in Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Tezpur. ISI was announced as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India in 1959. The institute is accredited to the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) and is recognized by AICTE. It offers full-time UG, PG and Short-term courses including B.Stat, B.Math, M.Stat and MS among others. Additionally, the institute also offers various research fellowships and certification programmes.
Admission to the institute is done based on written tests as well as interview sessions. The university provides good placement opportunities to students. Some of the top recruiters are AIG, American Express, ANZ, Axis Bank and many more.
ISI Kolkata Admissions 2022
Admission to the institute is solely done based on marks obtained in the entrance exam and the interview process. For UG courses the candidate must have a valid score in 10+2 examinations. The candidate must have a relevant degree if they wish to apply for PG courses. If the candidate has a valid GATE score then they are exempted from giving the entrance exam. Admission for PhD courses is also done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examinations.

Candidates who wish to get admission to the institute need to follow the given steps:
- Register at the admission portal on the website.
- Select the course and the centre where that course is available
- Submit the required details
- Submit scanned photograph, signature and required documents
- Pay Rs. 1250(male candidates) or 750(female candidates) application fees via credit card/debit card/net banking.

- Scanned copy of passport if not Indian.
- MArksheets/Grade cards or equivalents starting from Xth standard.
- valid caste (SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL) and/or disability certificates if and as applicable

ISI Kolkata Results
ISI conducts an entrance exam for admission to its various courses each year. The selection is based upon the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. The results are usually declared around May.
How to check?
- The candidates have to visit the official website and click on ISI Admission Result.
- After entering the ISI Application No. & Password or ISI Roll No. & Date of Birth, the screen will display whether the candidate has cleared or not.
- The candidates should download/save the score card for further reference.
