Description
Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is a state university with 486 affiliated colleges. It is headed by the state government and came into existence on May 16, 2007. GTU is approved by UGC, NBA & PCI for its academic performance and records. It is the first University in Gujarat which uses many Information Technology tools for its major activities. The university has about 4,00,000 students enrolled in various UG, PG, Research and diploma courses. Admission is made on the basis of entrance & merit both based. The university also conducts some entrance tests for admission and accepts few national-level entrance scores too.
The reviews assess that the university provides accommodation facilities, a library, one conference hall, playground, computer center and a lot more. The institute has successively good placement records. GTU has connections with various top-notch companies such as Bosch Rexroth, Oracle, IEEE, NSE, BSE, C-DAC and many others.

GTU Application Process 2022
The university keeps the application process online, applicants must go through the official website of GTU to apply for any course. The guidelines of how to apply are noted down below:
- Candidates need to visit the official website of GTU.
- After opening the homepage of the website, click on the Admission Portal
- Students who have not been registered should register themselves by clicking on ‘New Registration’
- On a new window, an application form will be opened & candidates must fill the application form with requisite academic & personal details.
- Students need to create a unique user ID and password & the login credentials will be registered by email and mobile phone.
- After completing, click on the “Proceed to Application” tab.
- The application fee should be paid through the Debit/Credit/Net Banking facility.

GTU has a Training & Placement Cell which works actively and gives great opportunities to the students who are genuinely hardworking & come with innovative ideas. The Industrial Training and Placement Cell of the university variates a knowledge seeker into a sought-after professional. For the academically promising & financially poor students the university has scholarship aids. The university itself does not provide financial assistance but Govt provided scholarships can avail meritorious students.

GTU Facilities
The following facilities are available for GTU students:
- Library: The university has libraries for different schools. All the libraries consist of a monstrous collection of books, periodicals, journals, thesis, newspapers e-resources etc. Only the Engineering school of GTU has a library with a total number of 2095 books, 5365 e-books, 4 journals, 3 magazines & 200 thesis.
- Hostel: The University has accommodation facilities with two hostel buildings, one for boys and girls. The hostel rooms are spacious and well-equipped with all the amenities that are required by the students. The facilities include mess and gym on the ground floor with 24*7 internet connection. - Sports Facility: GTU provides a good amount of space for many indoor sports activities. It has facilities for indoor games like Carrom, Chess, Table-tennis. The university campus has the infrastructure to facilitate various outdoor sports activities too, like Volleyball & Basketball courts, Cricket ground, Kabaddi & Kho-Kho ground. The students are encouraged to participate in these activities regularly to ensure their physical well-being. The University has a well-equipped modern gym to boost up the physical fitness of the students.
