At the undergraduate level, Dravidian University offers several courses in the field of Arts, Social Science, Commerce and Science.
Under B.Sc the university offers various specializations such as Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics. The intake capacity for each specialization is 60 seats.
The admission is entirely based on merit achieved in the pre-degree course. For admission into B.Sc priority should be given to the students who have studied and passed Biology, Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
For admission to B.B.M., B.Com and B.A., the candidates must have studied and passed Commerce, Commerce/Arts and Arts respectively. The total seats available for each course is 60.
Dravidian University PG Admission 2022
At postgraduate level, the university offers various courses under several specializations. For admission to Dravidian University at postgraduate level, the candidates are required to appear in an entrance exam, Dravidian University Common Entrance Test (DUCET), conducted by the university. The duration period of all the PG courses is 2 years, except MBA and M.Ed which are of 3 years and 1 year, respectively.
For MCA and MBA, candidates need to appear in Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET). Admission to B.Ed. and B.P.Ed courses will be done through Ed.CET and PE CET, respectively.
Dravidian University Ph.D and M.Phil Admission 2022
Apart from UG and PG courses, Dravidian University offers research programmes such as Ph.D. and M.Phil to the students who want to go one step ahead in the field of their concerned subject.
Candidates are required to appear in entrance examination, Dravidian University Research Common Entrance Test (DURCET), conducted by the university.
Eligible students can also appear in GATE/UGC NET/SLET/CSIR to seek admission but qualifying the entrance test conducted by the university is mandatory. Along with the qualifying marks, students also get admission on the basis of their marks obtained at postgraduate level.
Dravidian University Distance Programme Admission 2022
Dravidian University also offers Distance Programme to the students who can not take advantage of conventional institutions of higher learning. Under this programme, the candidates are offered many courses at both UG and PG level with various specializations.
For undergraduate (Open System) the candidates just need to pass the eligibility test conducted by the university and for UG (Regular System) students need to pass their 10+2 or any equivalent examination. The duration period is 3 years except for B.Li.Sc whose duration is 1 year.
To get admission in postgraduate, the eligible candidates are required to study and pass their graduate degree from any university. The duration period varies depending upon the nature of the course.
Dravidian University Application Process
Candidates can submit the applications through online as well as offline modes. Application for admission to the various course can be submitted to the university office. A separate application is required for each course.
In case of downloaded applications, candidates can submit it upon completion along with INR 450 as the processing fee.
Candidates can also obtain the form from the office of the Dean. In such cases, candidates are required to submit the prescribed entrance examination fees of INR 350 (for General/ BC Candidates) and INR 250 (for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates)
Fee should be submitted in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the “Registrar, Dravidian University, Kuppam” and payable at Andhra Bank, Dravidian University Branch, Kuppam (0001539).

Single application can be used for multiple courses by giving the order of preference of their choice from any of the following two groups of PG Programmes.
Group 1: Philosophy/Linguistics/Folklore/History/Library Science/Social Work.
Group 2: Bio-Chemistry/Biotechnology
Note: Each of the above two groups will have a Common Entrance Test. Preference will be given in admission based on the subjects studied in the qualifying degree
