NIT Meghalaya Quick Update
NIT Meghalaya NIRF Ranking 2022 has been released on July 15, 2022. As per the latest NIRF Ranking 2022, NIT Meghalaya ranks 60th in the engineering category, a rank drop from 59th position in 2021. NIT Meghalaya is 59 in the list of best engineering colleges of India by NIRF Ranking 2021. NIT Meghalaya admission 2022 is ongoing for the B.Tech program. CSAB 2022 special round 2 seat allotment result is out now. Candidates can check the seat allotment result through the official website - csab.nic.in. The last date for seat acceptance and online reporting for admission is November 5. Physical reporting for candidates who have confirmed their seats will take place till November 9. Further, GATE 2023 exam will be conducted between February 4 and February 12, 2023
NIT Meghalaya has been ranked #59 in the list of best engineering colleges of India by NIRF Ranking 2021. The institute has an excellent academic curriculum due to which it has increased its rank gradually. The most opted courses in NIT Meghalaya are ECE and CSE in the engineering department. NIT Meghalaya Admission to these programs is offered on the basis of JEE Main exam and JOSAA counselling.
There has been a steady increase in the placement percentage of the institute over the past 3 years. NIT Meghalaya Placement 2020 observed 116 job offers from the top recruiting companies. The highest CTC stood at INR 55.72 LPA with an average CTC of INR 6.78 LPA.

NIT Meghalaya Courses & Fees
NIT Shillong includes degree programs in Engineering, Technology, Science fields and offers a wide variety of courses. It provides a total of 46 UG, PG and doctorate courses such as BTech, MTech and MSc and PhD. The institute is currently offering admissions to short term courses for Biomedical Devices: Design and Manufacturing and Disaster Mitigation a Civil Engineering Prospective. NIT Meghalaya Placement
NIT Meghalaya Placement 2020 witnessed the participation of various companies that raised over 116 placement offers. The institute recorded its highest CTC that stood at INR 55.72 LPA. The department of CSE under B.Tech. has consecutively bagged the maximum number of job offers for the past few years.
As for the Average salary package, it stood at INR 6.78 LPA, the lowest CTC was INR 3.6 LPA.

NIT Meghalaya Scholarship
The institute aims to provide education to minor sectors of society through various scholarship schemes. Apart from this, students with merit and financially weak sections can go for the financial aid by applying for a loan. NIT Meghalaya Scholarship is offered under the following schemes:

NIT Meghalaya Faculty
NIT Meghalaya has a very dedicated faculty of 93 members out of which 85 hold PhDs in their respective disciplines. The faculty members are all highly qualified and have considerable experience in their fields. The faculty at NIT Meghalaya is very cooperative and helpful with the students when it comes to clarification of concepts and resolving doubts.
NIT Meghalaya Facilities
The campus of National Institute of Technology Meghalaya covers an area of about 300 acres of lush green land and pollution-free environment. There are a number of provisions across the campus that are available to students. These include the following:
- Central Library: The library has a collection of about 13,000 books on various disciplines including Engineering, Science, Arts and Humanities etc. Students, faculty and staff can refer to these books, journals and other material for academic and research purposes.
- Hostel: There are 5 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls with a capacity of n464 and 140 respectively. Facilities provided in the hostel include mess, WiFi, Gymnasium, sports equipment etc.
- Computer Centre: The computer center houses more than 200 high powered Intel i7 processor-based computers as well as 8 servers. All computers are WiFi enabled.
- State of the Art Classrooms: The classrooms are all equipped with LCD projectors and Interactive Electronic Boards.
- Health Care: NIT has engaged a doctor who visits the campus thrice a week. The college also has an agreement with a reputed hospital of the state for treatment of its students, faculty and staff on a priority basis. Expenses are reimbursed by NIT.
- Sports: The institute conducts regular sports events for students. Facilities are provided for various outdoor games such as football, basketball, cricket as well as indoor games like badminton, table tennis, LAN gaming, carom, chess, etc

NIT Meghalaya offers a four-year B.Tech program in 5 specializations. Out of 5 specializations offered, the most opted stream at the institute is Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with a cutoff ranging from 11402 to 91463 in the JoSAA Counselling.
