NIT Trichy is an autonomous technological institute established by the Govt of India. The institute has been ranked first among all the NITs by the NIRF for 6 years in a row. NIT Trichy offers 10 UG, 40 PG, and 17 Doctoral courses through 17 academic departments. Through these courses, the institute awards more than 1700 degrees every year. Research at NIT Trichy is sponsored by major government and private agencies like the Ministry of Education, TATA motors, and TATA steel. Also, Indian Space Research Research Organization (ISRO) has set up a Space Technology Incubation Centre (S-TIC) at NIT Trichy to develop products for future missions.

NIT Trichy Courses
A total of 57 courses are available for the students across core and non-core areas of education. NIT Trichy Placements 2020 saw an extreme rise in the placement drive. The highest annual package was recorded at INR 42 LPA while the average package was timed at INR 6 LPA. As compared to 2019, there is a 5% rise in the placement drive of NIT Trichy.
A total of 91 companies, including Amazon, Bosch, Sony, Facebook, Pepsico, etc. visited the campus and offered coveted roles, namely Advanced Operations Research, Customer Relationship, Basic Data Analytics, HR Analytics, etc.

Candidate must have passed his 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks.
Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2.
