Mumbai University releases new guidelines for Admissions 2022. Examination for all regular courses to be held online. As per the new guidelines, examination for all the traditional courses will be held online. Students who have submitted their examination forms will be allowed to sit in the exam. All the affiliated colleges are informed to collect all student information like contact number, email id, and all other equipments they have. The college will then create a database on the same. Mumbai University offers more than 200 UG, PG, and Doctoral, PG Diploma, and Certificate courses under the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Science, Technology, Law, Management, and Fine Arts. Mumbai University Placement
The University of Mumbai has developed its own Training and Placement Cell which is responsible for conducting the placement sessions each year at the campus. The Training and Placement Cell acts as a bridge between the students and the recruiters where students can drop their resume by the end of their degrees and connect with the reputed recruiters and organizations.
The university completed its 2020 placement drive. The number of students placed increased by almost 47.68% compared to the previous year. The median salary stood at INR 4 LPA for the 3 years UG programme students, INR 3.50 LPA for the 5 years UG programme students, INR 5.2 LPA for the 1 year PG programme students, INR 9.75 LPA for the 2 years PG programme students, INR 6.20 LPA for the PG Integrated programme students. Mumbai University Scholarship
A variety of scholarships is being offered by the University of Mumbai to its needy and meritorious students under several institutional and government scholarship schemes. Some of them are as follows.
Financial Assistance to the Students representing Backward Classes: The University offers a provision of upto INR 10 lakhs to render Financial Assistance to the students belonging to the Backward Class (SC, ST, NT, DT, and SBC) studying at various Departments of the University whose annual family income is less than INR 1 lakhs.
Financial Assistance to the Needy Students: A provision of INR 10 Crores has been marked to render Financial Assistance to needy students belonging to the economically backward class studying at various affiliated Colleges/ Institutions/ Departments of the University. Students whose annual family income is less than INR 75,000 can avail the facility of this scholarship.
Book Bank Scheme: The University renders financial assistance each year to the affiliated Colleges to run the Book Bank scheme for the Backward Class students.
Government Scholarships: The government of India offers a variety of scholarships for its meritorious and the students belonging from the SC/ST/DT/NT/SBC categories on the basis of the merits.
