Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University - [KVASU] is a university located in Pookode,Wayanad in Kerala with 8 constituent colleges under it that are located in different districts such as Mannuthy, Pookode, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolahalamedu, Thiruvazhamkunnu and Thrissur .
The college offers multiple courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels under three faculties namely Veterinary and Animal Science, Dairy Science and Poultry Science. The admission process takes place online and is based on the entrance exam as well as merit.
The placement cell of the college which is called as the department of entrepreneurship helps students in gaining experiences by providing them training programmes and compulsory internships. There is a huge faculty on board who are all well experienced and trained in their respective fields.
KVASU Wayanad Admission
For B.V.Sc & AH, candidates must have attempted the NEET-UG exam.
For admission to B.Sc, M.V.Sc., M.Sc., and Diploma courses, candidates must have attempted the entrance test conducted by the KVASU university .
All the candidates will be admitted to the Ph.D programmes only after an entrance test and an interview.
How to Apply?
The candidate has to fill in the application form from the official website.
The candidate must have a scanned photo and and a scanned signature of the mentioned size ready before filling the form as they need to be added in the application form.
After the successful filling of form the candidate will be redirected to the payment page where the candidate can pay the application fee through any online mode of payment or through a DD.
The DD must be sent in favour of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode payable at Kalpetta.
The application fee for general category is Rs. 1000 for general category and Rs. 500 for S.C and S.T if paid via DD. If the payment is being made through any online mode then there will be an increment 0f Rs.20 for both the categories.
The students who will be selected after the display of merit list will be intimidated with the further fee payment procedures .
The candidate has to pay the fees within the stipulated period of time or else the admission will be withdrawn.

KVASU Wayanad Placements
The college has a placement cell that is called a department of entrepreneurship which caters to the needs of employment of the students. The students are placed in government as well as private sectors.
The college has a record of at least 50% of students getting placed every year. The students are compulsorily asked to do an internship as a part of the curriculum itself. The students of Dairy Technology get placed in companies like Amarai, Milky Mist, Milma etc. with a median salary ranging from 1.8 LAcs to 5 lacs.

Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) established in December 2010 as a full-fledged University, offers education, research and extension services in the field of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The university is located in Pookot of Wayanad district, in the State of Kerala, South India. KVASU comprises two Veterinary Colleges – College of Veterinary in Mannuthy district and College of Animal Sciences in Pookode district.
The university offers a cluster of Undergraduate (UG) programmes like B.Sc, B.V.Sc and B.Tech and Postgraduate (PG) programmes such as M.Tech, MS, M.Sc and M.V.Sc along with Ph. D programme in different disciplines
For B.Tech. in Dairy Technology, the candidate has to either give KEAM i.e. Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical, which is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala, or they have to give AIEEA-UG.
For B.Tech. in Food Technology, the selection will be made based on only one entrance test known as KEAM 2021
For admission in B.Sc course, candidates need to appear in an entrance test administered by the university.
Admission to BVSc.& AH will be done on the basis of All India Entrance Examination called NEET – UG.
Selection in all the post graduate and Ph.D. programmes will be done purely on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam followed by Interview and Counseling.
nder BVSc & AH, 10% relaxation shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and 5% relaxation shall be applicable to the candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward communities.
Admission to the B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) course is regulated by Commissioner of Entrance Examinations of Kerala (CEE) through conducting Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam (KEAM) and ICAR through conducting the AIEEA-UG entrance examination.
For B.Sc. (Poultry Production and Business Management), the SC/ST candidates have to pass in the qualifying examination.

KVASU M.Tech, MS, M.Sc and M.V.Sc Admission 2022
The university has a number of different courses to offer at the postgraduate level, that are Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Science (M.S) and Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc).
The minimum qualification for all the masters programmes is a graduation degree in the relevant field. For admissions in all of the Postgraduate programmes, the candidates need to appear in an entrance exam which is conducted by the university. Candidates would be selected as per their obtained marks in the exam.
M.Tech.
Candidates with B.Tech (Dairy Science and Technology) or B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) waiting for their result can also apply for M.Tech. course.
25% of the total seats will be kept reserved for the eligible candidates sponsored by the ICAR based on All India Entrance Examination to be conducted by them.
MVSc.
The maximum age limit for a candidate to apply under general category is 40 years and under SC/ST category it is 45 years.
There is also a provision of Residency system under this course provided by the University. The selection under this system will be done on the basis of option and merit of the candidate.
M.Sc. Animal Sciences
Candidates who have done BSc (Poultry Production and Business Management) are also eligible to apply, but their selection will be dependent on the approval from the competent authority.
Basic Criteria :Entrance exam and merit based<p><br>KVASU Ph.D Admission 2022<br>KVASU provides P.h. D programme to the candidates under three categories – Veterinary, Biosciences and Climate Change in Animal Agriculture. Candidates willing to apply for Ph.D programme must have at least minimum percentage of marks or the minimum OGPA in the Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university. The criteria for selecting the candidates is – the qualifying degree marks, a written entrance test and an interview conducted by the university.<br>Candidates from SC/ST category need to have OGPA of 7.0/10 or an equivalent for applying to any of the PhD specializations. <br>The candidates also have to produce attested copy of the final mark sheet on or before August 22, 2021.<br>While filling the application form, the candidate also has to upload a file which will have all the details of the project proposal (which should be in DOC/DOCX/PDF format). M.S. and M.Sc. Scholarship
Students are aided with a lot of scholarships that help the meritorious and economically backward students with financial aid. Merit scholarship is awarded to the top 10 percent of the meritorious undergraduate students of each batch of degree programme in all colleges under KVASU.
Merit cum Means scholarship is instituted to a maximum of 12 financially backward non-SC/ST students of each batch of undergraduate programme of B.V.Sc & AH and B.Tech. (Dairy Science Tech.) of all colleges under KVASU.
The students studying Ph.D courses are offered research fellowship and research grants as per the needs of the students. The students are also provided the facilities of educational loans. The students can avail the facilities of national scholarships too. The domicile students of kerala can apply for the scholarship from the state government too.
Meritorious students are given scholarships, fellowships and assistantships. 10 students from the undergraduate programs are given scholarships. Merit cum Means scholarship is distributed to 12 financially backward non-SC/ST students of each batch of under graduate programme of B.V.Sc.&A.H .and B.Tech. of all colleges under KVASU. Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research fellowship (SRF) is awarded to the students admitted for postgraduate and Ph.D. students respectively.
