Kazi Nazrul University, also referred to as KNU, was established in 2012, in Asansol, West Bengal. The institute offers UG, PG, Diploma, and Ph.D. courses. Admissions to the UG and PG courses are on the basis of academic merit, while admissions to the B.Tech courses are based on the WBJEE scores. An entrance examination, followed by viva-voce, is conducted for admissions to the Ph.D. courses. The institute offers many internship opportunities and also conducts placement drives.

Kazi Nazrul University Admissions

Admissions to all the PG courses as well as the B.Sc course are based on academic merit. Admissions to the B.Tech courses are on the basis of the WB-JEE scores, while an Entrance test is conducted for admissions to the Ph.D. courses. Fill in the details accurately. 
The payment of fees can be done through Challan.
Submit the application form, required documents, and payment receipt/challan.

Library: This Central Library houses more than 21000 print books. It has also subscribed to some print journals and has access to several hundred e-journals
Hostel Facility: KNU offers separate accommodation facilities for both Girls and Boys. The hostel will be allotted on the basis of the distance and income of the family of the students. Applications must be submitted online after receiving admission. 
Canteen: The canteen caters tiffin, lunch, and snacks at student-friendly rates to students and employees from 10 AM to 6 PM. The standard of food, hygiene, and service is monitored closely.

Admission process to the University courses is online as well as offline

Candidates seeking admission in undergraduate courses such as BA, BCom and BSc should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate

Admission to postgraduate courses such as MA based on a minim of 50% aggregate at UG level

Candidates seeking admission to the MPhil or PhD or Integrated MPhil-PhD need to have a Master's degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate. 

Admission is granted on the basis of a written Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by a personal Interview (PI). 

Scores of UGC-NET, SLET, GATE and JEST will be considered and such candidates need not appear for the University entrance test.

80% of total seats in each course is earmarked for KNU students only. All the current year KNU Honours/Program Graduates will be considered in this category.

Passing the 10+2 exam with the prescribed percentage in the relevant stream from any recognized institution. 

Selection Criteria
The selection process for the course happens through the merit score secured by the candidate. The candidate with the best rankings with the superior cut off obviously leads the way in the admission process. Furthermore, the admission process is also influenced by seat allocation (i.e.) seats allocated on the basis of five categories namely general, OBC, SC, ST, and economically weaker sections respectively. These allocations of seats are done under the guidelines provided by the government.
