IIT Guwahati is at 7 in the engineering list of NIRF. The institute, at present, has a strength of 1700 students and 410 faculty members. IIT Guwahati offers UG, PG, and PhD degrees in 57 courses. The courses taught are in the fields of Engineering, Management, Sciences, and Humanities. IIT Guwahati campus is considered the most beautiful campus in India. It has the Brahmaputra on one side and hills and vast open spaces on others. The campus houses 11 departments, 5 academic centres, 5 extramural centres, and 13 hostels. Also, IIT Guwahati has 135 MoUs across 31 countries. These partnerships have facilitated student and faculty exchange programs, student internships, joint conferences, and workshops for joint research projects.
The institute has 2 major programs, i.e., BTech and MTech. For the IIT Guwahati BTech program, a candidate must score 438-8954 rank in the JEE Advanced exam. Also, NTA has released the JEE Main 2022 exam dates. The interested candidates can fill out the JEE Main 2022 application form by March 31, 2022. The JEE Main 2022 exam will be conducted in two sessions of April and May 2022. Also, the JEE Main exam date 2022 has been finalised from April 16-21, 2022 for Phase-I and from May 24-29, 2022 for Phase-II. For the IIT Guwahati MTech admission, a GATE score of 465-754 is required. The total fee charged for the BTech program is INR 8.54 Lacs. Whereas, for the MTech program, INR 1.30 Lacs of fees is charged for the entire program.
IIT Guwahati students receive job offers from companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Amazon, Apple, and Flipkart. The institute recently started its 2022 placement drive. The highest salary package of INR 2.5 CPA has been recorded so far. At the end of Day 2 of the placement drive, 38 recruiters have actively participated & made 530 placement offers. Also, IIT Guwahati has recently launched the School of Business to offer a full-time residential MBA program. Another recent development in the institute has been the launch of the state-of-the-art Centre for Nanotechnology (CNT) and Centre for Indian Knowledge System (CIKS) in November 2021, which will help students focus on advancements in multidisciplinary and scientific research. IIT Guwahati Courses
IIT Guwahati courses include BTech, BDes, MA, MBA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programs. There are a total 52 courses at IIT Guwahati in the fields of Engineering, Sciences, Management, and Humanities.
