College of Horticulture, Solan campus offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research level degree courses in various disciplines of Horticulture and Forestry. The institute currently offers eight M.Sc. programs, seven Ph.D. programs, a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Horticulture and two master degree courses in management and Agribusiness.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to B.Sc. program is 10+2 in science or Agriculture stream with a minimum of 50% marks. For M.Sc. and Management programs, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with 60% marks. Ph.D. candidates must have a master’s degree in the relevant discipline with 65% marks. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of entrance test score and personal interview (for Ph.D. programs).

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these programs is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics and Chemistry as the compulsory subjects and Biology / Mathematics / Agriculture as optional subjects with 50% marks. Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry accepts applications from eligible candidates through online mode. The detailed application process is as follows:
- Visit the official website of the university and click on the “Apply Online for admission to Undergraduate Programmes, M.Sc. and MBA Programmes” tab.
- The applicant will be redirected to a landing page where he/she will need to click on the ‘apply now’ tab for the desired program.
- Once successfully registered, the candidate will be provided a unique registration number and access to the online application form.
- Scanned copies of passport size photograph, signature, and all relevant documents must be uploaded.
