Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) is a State University located in Vijayawada city of the Andhra Pradesh state. It offers graduate and postgraduate degrees, diploma and super speciality courses. NTRUHS Admission

Admission to the undergraduate programs is done on the basis of the marks secured by the students in their qualifying examination. For courses such as BAMS, BHMS, the university enrolls the student on the basis of their performance in AP EAMCET, however, a separate entrance examination is conducted for BUMS.

For MBBS and BDS, it is compulsory for the student to have a valid rank in NEET and the selection is based on the choice made by the students in the counseling process.

The university conducts Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET) for the admissions to MD, MS, MDS courses. For M.Sc. in Nursing, it is compulsory for the candidates to secure a minimum of 45 marks in the entrance examination (35 marks for SC/ST).

NTRUHS Results

The university follows a semester-based curriculum for the academics studies in various courses. NTRUHS Facilities

Following are the facilities offered by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences to cater to the need of the students: 

  • Library: University library and information center are situated in the air-conditioned premises, with total LAN abled facility. The NTRMEDNET consortium started working with an online supply of e-journals to all the affiliated colleges of the university.
  • Sports: The university encourages students to play sports and adapt sports facilities in order to make both their body and mind sound and for this, the university organizes many inter and intra university championships or competitions. Each year, the University teams take part in events at the zonal level and national level.

For the part-time PhD course at Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), students must have working experience for a year in any of the colleges or institutes affiliated to NTR university. Candidates with a pass in senior secondary school or an equivalent examination with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology and English as main subjects can apply for MBBS/BDS.

 

  • Selection to MBBS and BDS programs is done on the basis of student’s performance in NEET followed by counselling.
  • For MBBS programmes, students have to complete the mandatory internship on prior registration with AP State Medical Council.
  • For B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (MLT), BNYS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BPT the aspirants must have obtained required minimum marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, with different combinations and English as a compulsory subject.
  • The admission to the above-stated courses will be given based on the Entrance Test.
  • For Post B.Sc. (Nursing), the candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent and must have done General Nursing and Midwifery course. 
  • Selection in Post B.Sc. (Nursing) will be merit-based. 
  • Candidates with MBBS/BDS or a PG degree in the relevant subject along with an internship will be eligible for applying to MD and MDS courses.
  • The admission to MD, MS and MDS courses of NTRUHS will be given on the basis of NEET PG score. 
  • For M.Sc. (Nursing), MPH and MPT, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in the respective field with min. 50% marks. 
  • The selection for M.Sc. Nursing and MPH will be done by the university on the basis of marks secured in the entrance test but for MPT it will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam and Counseling, both.
  • A pass in MD/ DNB in the related field is required to apply for DM and M.Ch. 
  • based on the merit in PGMET, a canddiate will be given admission in DN and M.Ch. 
  • For taking admission in Ph.D. a master’s degree with an M.Phil is a must.
  • The selection will be done based on the entrance test and viva voce. 
  • The university offers doctoral programmes in both full-time and part time mode. For the part- time Ph.D. course, students must have a working experience for a year in any of the colleges or institutes affiliated to NTR university.

NTRUHS MBBS & BDS Admission 2022

The university offers MBBS and BDS programmes in its Medical and Dental Colleges. The candidate shoould have obtained 50% marks with PCBE as the main subjects.  It is compulsory for the applicants to have a valid rank in NEET 2022 for getting selected. Final selection is based on the choice made by the student in the counseling process.

NTRUHS UG Admission 2022

In addition to the MBBS and BDS programs, the university also offers several other undergraduate programs in the area of Nursing, Physiotherapy, Ayurveda and Homeopathy. The minimum eligibility for all the bachelors’ courses is minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, with different combinations and English as a compulsory subject with the required percentage of marks. The basis of selection is Entrance Test marks obtained by the candidate.

If the candidate has completed an Intermediate with Bridge Course with subjects such as Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry from NTR university or any other recognized university.
BHMS Candidate should have completed senior secondary examination or qualified the Indian School Certificate Examination with Physical, Chemistry, Biology with Mathematics or any other optional subjects with English Language. He/she should have qualified their Intermediate examination in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects along with practical knowledge of the same and mandatory English language. He/she should have qualified pre- professional or pre-medical examination with Physical, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects after passing the higher secondary school or an examination holding equivalent value with appropriate practical knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He/she must have studied Physical, Chemistry and Biology in theory and practical classes during the first year of degree programme and passed their senior secondary school with English as a main subject.
BUMS He/she must have completed their senior secondary school or should have cleared an examination holding equivalent value with an average minimum of 50% marks in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology He/she must have passed High School with compulsory Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as a main subject OR He/she should be able to qualify in the Urdu entrance examination conducted by the university. He/she must have qualified one year long Pre-Tib examination and the entrance examination which is conducted by the university.
BPT Passed 10+2 in Science Stream with Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry or Intermediate Vocational (Physiotherapy) or Inter vocational with Bridge course of Biological and Physical Sciences or APOSS with Biological and Physical Sciences.
Post B.Sc. (Nursing)

Passed class 12th OR  any other equivalent examination (10+2 pattern) recognized by the University in A.P. or Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh or NIOS or APOSS – Indian Nursing Council Regulations

AND must have passed General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognized by the Govt. of A.P. or Nursing Council of India and shall be registered with the State Nursing Council.

Key Note:

  • The B.Sc. Nursing program is of 4 years duration including internship.
  • For admission to BUMS, requires candidates to secure an average minimum of 50% marks in the entrance examination
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST, there is no minimum marks requirement in the entrance examination.
  • For BPT and B.Sc. (MLT), the applicants must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2022.
  • Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC category will be given relaxation of 5% marks (i.e. 40%) in the science group subjects with English as a mandatory subject.
  • For Post B.Sc. (Nursing),male as well as female candidates will be eligible to apply. 
  • Govt. service candidates who want to apply for Post B.Sc. Nursing should have completed 2 years of of service as a staff nurse in Medical and Health Department and Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad June 30, 2022.
  • Under Post B.Sc. (Nursing), the minimum age for a candidate to apply is 17 years and the maximum age is 45 years.

 

NTRUHS MD, MS & MDS Admission 2022

NTRUHS offers various courses at post graduate level. Aspirants who have completed MBBS/BDS can apply for MD course.Also for different specializations in MD and for MS & MDS, the candidates need to have the relevant degree and internship. The selection will be based on the NEET PG score.

MD  Ayurveda He/she must have undergone professional training as an Internee/ House Officer. If the candidate holds a Post Graduate degree in Unani, then, he/she cannot appear for the entrance examination.
MS - He/she must have completed MBBS / BDS examination from a Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India Only Indian Nationals can apply or if the person is of Indian origin (PIO) or holds a Citizen of Indian card.
MDS - He/she must hold a BDS degree from NTR university or from any other recognized university. NTRUHS PG Admission 2022

The NTR university has several post graduate courses in nursing and paramedical sciences. For, M.Sc. Nursing, it is mandatory that the candidate must have passed B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Sc. Hons. Nursing./ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 55% marks. For MPH, the candidate must have completed graduation with minimum marks of 50 in any stream. The applied candidates will be selected based on the marks secured in the entrance test.  In the case of MPT, the aspirants should have a BPT degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised university along with the internship which is mandatory. Marks in the qualifying exam followed by counseling will be the selection criteria for MPT.

NTRUHS DM & M.Ch Admission 2022

NTRUHS offers DM and M.Ch. courses with minimum eligibility of MD/DNB degree under DM and of MS/DNB funder M.Ch. The admission in both the super specialty programmes DM and M. Ch will be done as per the candidate’s performance in the university’s entrance examination, “Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test”. The application fee is INR 4000/- (INR 3700/- for SC/ST).

NTRUHS M.Phil. Ph.D. Admission 2022

The Ph.D. programmes offered by the university are both full-time and part time. A post graduation degree in the science stream from a recognised university can apply for M.Phil. in Pharmacy. The candidates also need to have an M.Phil degree for applying in the Ph.D. program along with the masters’ degree. The performance in the entrance test along with the viva voce will determine a candidate’s admission in the M.Phil and Ph.D. courses. 

Course Eligibility Selection Criteria 
M.Phil. (Pharmacy) Passed post graduation (MD, MS, DNB /MDS /MD(Ayur.)/M.Sc.(N)/ MPT or MSc-Medical) in the respective or related subject from NTR university or any other recognized university. He/she must hold a post graduation degree in science subject in the field of Medical sciences (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Zoology etc.) from NTR university or any other recognized university. He/she must have completed M.Phil. in the field of medical sciences. Those who have completed their MBBS along with P.G. NTRUHS Application Process 2022

The candidates can fill the application form online. Before filling the application form, the candidate is adviced to read the prospectus and notification carefully and gather all the documents required tp fill the application form. Following is the procedure to fill the application form.

BPT, B.Sc. (MLT), B.Sc. (Nursing) and Post B.Sc. (Nursing)

  • Go to the official website of the university.
  • Fill the application form online.
  • Take print out of the application form and submit it along with the original copy of the documents and 3 sets of xerox copies at the verification centre.
  • After doing the verification, the university will release the merit list of the candidates on the University wesbite.

For MBBS and BDS:

  1. Click on the official website.
  2. Click on “New Registration”
  3. Fill all the required details correctly along with the NEET UG score.
  4. Click on “Validate”.
  5. Now the candidate will receive the registration number and password. Note them down for further correspondance.
  6. Now put the registration number and password again and complete the rest of the details and then click “validate” button. 
  7. Make the payment of the registration fees online through Debit/Credit or Net Banking facility. 

Application Fees:

The fees of application and counseling is INR 3000 for the OC/BC category candidates whereas for SC/ST category applicants it is INR 2500.

M.Phil. & Ph.D. in Pharmacy

  1. He/she can either get the application form from the university campus or download it from the university website.
  2. Applicants should submit a research proposal draft of the area of research in the stipulated time duration.
  3. He/she must attach 2 recent passport size photographs to the application form and the required document copies which must be attested.
  4. For registration, he/she must pay a fee of Rest. 5000/- as a Demand Draft drawn in favor of the ‘Registrar, Dr. NTR UHS payable at Vijayawada’. The payment can be done via any branch of a National Bank.
