Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU) was established by the Government of Maharashtra in the year of 1989. It is situated at Lonere in Raigad district in the state of Maharashtra. It offers B.Tech. under UG and M.Tech. under PG levels. Many colleges function under the supervision of this University.

 

Admission to the courses is based on entrance test score or merit secured in the qualifying exam.

DBATU Lonere Admission

Admission to B.tech. and B.Arch. is based on JEE Main/ MHT CET and NATA score respectively. For M.Tech. and M.Pharm., a valid score of GATE and GPAT is required. Admission to all other courses is based on merit obtained in qualifying exam.

Admission to all courses can be done through website of the university in online mode itself. 

How to Apply?

To apply for the desired course, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Candidates need to visit the institution official web portal 
  • Interested candidates should fill the application form. 
  • Candidates should register for the specific entrances too if applicable. 
  • Candidates also need to pay the application fees of INR 800/ (INR 400/- for reserved category candidates) in online mode at SBI Collect Gateway. 
  • The scanned copy of this payment receipt obtained from SBI portal must be uploaded as the proof of payment. 
  • Payment by Cash or Cheque or DD will not be accepted in any circumstances. 
  • Submit the application and qualify the concerned the entrance to seal the admission.

  • Scholarships for meritorious students- The institution offers scholarships to students with 

exceptional academic performance and grants tuition fee waivers to them. 

  • Scholarships to students with economically weaker backgrounds- These Scholarships are provided to students of backward classes, SC/ST categories or low-income groups (less than INR 2 Lakh per annum).

DBATU Lonere Facilities

Facilities offered by the institution are: 

  • University library- Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University has a huge library that helps students and faculty to explore latest information in their field of interest. It has a large collection of 76291 titles and contains 76 subscribed journals.
  • Computer Centre- The university has about a 100 PCs in the computer centre. There is high speed internet facility at a speed of 2 Mbps facilities to many PCs in the centre. 
  • Conference Hall- The university has various AC conference halls which can accommodate more than 100 students.
  • Guest House- There is a guest house named ‘Anandvan’ in the university. This guest house located is at the centre of the university. It has 2 VIP suits, 3 AC suites, and 17 ordinary suites.
  • Edusat- Edusat is used for conducting workshops, lectures, and seminars at the University. It can accommodate more than 100 students.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU) is a state university situated in Raigad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The University has a conducted institute of its own, "Institute of Petrochemical Engineering", running Diploma Courses in eight streams of Engineering and Technology.

 

DBATU University imparts various educational courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level mainly focusing on the area of Core Engineering and Technology.

  • Admission to the B.Tech courses is done on the basis of obtained score in common entrance examination or JEE Main or equivalent examination recognized by Government of Maharashtra.
  • Candidates must have a valid score of NATA for admission into B.Arch. course
  • B.Pharm. and B.Voc. admission is based on merit secured in the qualifying exam.
  • Admission to the M.Tech programme is done on the basis of merit in GATE and pre-qualifying examination

DBATU B.Tech Admission 2022

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University features undergraduate programs in core engineering disciplines. It offers four-year undergraduate programs that lead to the awarding of Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) degree in each of the departments' disciplines. The university also accepts a lateral entry in the B.Tech programme.

Selection Process

  • Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate : Admission is based on the obtained score in the common entrance examination conducted by the Competent Authority and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.
  • All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates :  Admission is based on the obtained score in common entrance examination conducted by the Competent Authority and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra or JEE Main or equivalent examination recognized by Government of Maharashtra.

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University also offers B.Arch. and B.Pharm. courses at UG level. The minimum eligibility for both the courses is a pass in 10+2 with 50% marks in relevant subjects.

DBATU offers B.Voc. course in 5 specializations. The duration of the course is 3-years. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with 50% marks are eligible for admission.

DBATU M.Tech Admission 2022

DBATU also offers two-year postgraduate programs that lead to the awarding of Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree in the disciplines of Power Systems, Chemical, Computer, Electronics and Telecommunication, Environmental, Manufacturing and Thermal and Fluids engineering.

In order to seek admission to the M.Tech programmes, a candidate needs to hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.

Admissions to M. Tech. Programme will be made through a Centralized Admission Process of Directorate of Technical Education for GATE qualified candidates. The departments of University, Affiliated colleges and recognized Institutes are authorized to conduct their own entrance tests for admitting non-GATE candidates, if positions are available in respective colleges and departments. The departments, colleges and institutions shall announce the time table for conducting the tests for such candidates, conduct the entrance test and declare merit list before the commencement of the academic year.

Candidates seeking admissions to the Master’s courses must mention the valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score in their application forms. However, a valid GATE score does not automatically entitle a candidate for admission.

The selection of the candidates for admission shall be on the basis of the performance of the candidates at the selection procedure, GATE score, and the marks obtained at the last qualifying examination. For GATE registration, candidates need to fill up the form ONLINE at the official website

  • NO admission will be done without the entrance test.

DBATU Ph.D Admission 2022

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University offers full-time and part-time programs for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in diversified academic disciplines. Students can opt for full time/part time/off campus as per their choice.

The candidates applying for Ph.D. programmes should have passed M. E. /M. Tech. or equivalent degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% of marks (55% in case of reserved category candidates from the State of Maharashtra only) awarded by any recognized University/Institute.

The admission of the candidates for Ph. D will be on the basis of entrance test followed by an interview. All candidates will have to appear for entrance test as well as interview for becoming eligible for admission. The Entrance Examination will be conducted by the University on the First Saturday of the month of August and February every year.

The list of candidates found eligible based on their performance in entrance test and interview for the offer of Ph. D. admission will be displayed in the order of GENERAL MERIT on the admission portal of the University.
