Allahabad University Facilities

The Allahabad University provides various facilities to its students. They are:

University Health Centre: For the medical welfare of students and employees of the University, one homeopathy doctor has been engaged by the University. Two ambulances work as emergency facilities for the University.

Central Library: The University has a subscription to 268 journals, out of which 137 are Indian and 92 are Foreign. The library provides E-Resource Access is to 21,461+ e-journals and 14 e-databases approx.

Computer Centre: This is a centralized facility for students and teachers of the university for assisting them in their research that organizes short-term courses or computerizing Department-wise activities.

Hostel Facility: There are three separate hostels for boys and girls. Whereas, the hostel for international students is currently under construction. 

Gandhi Bhawan: Mandapam for meditation, yoga, and spiritual hymns. Gandhi Bhawan Conference Hall with a well-equipped audio-video system, for deliberation and discussion, can accommodate 60 people. Sprawling lawns with lotus are also a part of it.Allahabad University is recognised as Institute of National Importance and Oxford University of East.  Allahabad University offers UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in the key fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law and Management. Admission to the Allahabad University Courses is done on the basis of entrance exams conducted every year by the University.

For admission to UG and PG courses, the students are required to qualify UGAT and PGAT respectively whereas for taking admission into the Ph.D. course the students have to qualify CRET followed by a counselling round. However, the candidates who have qualified UGC- NET or JRF or SLET with valid scores are exempted from taking the CRET entrance exam. Besides this, Allahabad University also accepts valid scores of GATE for M.Tech course.

The placement percentage record of Allahabad University is quite good, around 75% with the highest placement of 6.5 LPA. ICICI Prudential and Prism Cement were some of the major recruiters who visited the campus for placements in recent years

Allahabad University UG Eligibility Criteria

For admission to UG courses like B.A., B.Sc. B.P.A., B.C.A. etc. the candidates have to complete 10 + 2 class level board examination with minimum required marks from a recognised board. 

For B.Tech., the candidate must have completed 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 

Allahabad University UG Selection Process

The candidates who Qualify the UGAT entrance exam are eligible for taking admission in the UG courses of Allahabad University.

Allahabad University PG Eligibility Criteria

For admission to M.Sc. in Biotechnology, the candidate must have completed B.Sc. or B.A. in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks in the examination.

For admission to M.A., the candidate must have completed bachelor's degree in the relevant specialisation with atleast 59% marks from a recognised University.

Allahabad University PG Selection Process 

For admission to the M. Tech., the candidate must have qualified GATE entrance examination with the valid scores required for admission.

For admission to the other PG courses, the candidates have to clear the PGAT entrance exam with valid scores.

The students who have qualified UGC-NET OR JRF OR SLET are exempted from giving the CRET entrance exam.
