Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITG) was established in 2013 in Guwahati, Assam. The institute introduced Ph.D. program in its curriculum in 2015. IIIT, Guwahati offers B.Tech and Ph.D. program to the aspirants. B.Tech course is offered with two specializations and Ph.D. program with 7 specializations.

Applicants seeking admission to B.Tech program shall apply for JoSAA as admission to the course is given through JoSAA Counselling.
Those who want to join Ph.D. program shall download the application form from the institute’s website and submit it through email or post.
Students who have passed 10+2/ HSC with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and qualified JEE Main are considered eligible to get admission in B.Tech course.
Candidates who hold ME/ M.Tech Degree with minimum 60% marks or BE/ B.Tech with minimum 65% marks are eligible to get admission in CSE/ ECE specialization of the Ph.D. program.
To get admission in Ph.D., candidates should have a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline.
Admission to B.Tech course is given through JoSAA counselling on the basis of candidate’s merit in JEE Main.
Selection of applicant to Ph.D. program is done based on their marks obtained in the written test and interview conducted by the concerned department.

IIIT Guwahati B.Tech Admission 2022

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITG) offers B.Tech course with two specializations and intake of 45 students in Computer Science and Engineering and 35 students in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Applicants who have passed 10+2/ HSC with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of these as optional subject viz. Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and English as a compulsory language subject from a recognized Board are considered eligible for admission to B.Tech course. Admission to candidates is given through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) as per the merit of JEE Main conducted by CBSE.

IIIT Guwahati M.Tech Admission 2022

IIIT Guwahati offers 2-year M.Tech programmes to graduate engineering students available in both on campus and online mode. For admission to the M.Tech course, applicants should have a valid GATE score. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview round by email for final shortlisting.

The university offers two specializations including Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). The total intake for both specializations under M.Tech Programmes is 60 each. There is no application fee applicable to apply for the IIIT Guwahati M.Tech programme.

IIIT Guwahati M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed graduation in BTech/ B.E./ M.Sc. in engineering and science relevant stream
The applicants should have scored at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA in their graduation.
Candidates appearing in their qualifying degree examinations may also apply for the M.Tech programmes, provided they should appear in all their qualifying degree examinations and complete all requirements for their degrees.
If shortlisted, such candidates will be admitted provisionally, and they will have to furnish the results of their qualifying degree examinations.

Fill in the GATE application form from its official site window.
Appear for the GATE and obtain a valid score.
After the GATE result is announced, download the scorecard.
Apply for M.Tech in IIIT Guwahati through the admission portal of its official site.
Pay the IIIT Guwahati application fee.
After the list of the shortlisted candidates is released by IIIT Guwahati, submit documents for verification.
The last step is the payment of course fees for the enrollment of the course.
