The Xavier Aptitude Test is spelled XAT.The XAT is a national-level management entrance exam administered by XLRI, Jamshedpur, for MBA and PGDM admission.For more than 70 years, XAMI has contracted XLRI to administer the XAT exam.Because XAT scores are accepted by more than 700 colleges across the country, including XLRI, 95 XAT Associates, and the 12 XAMI member institutes, the XAT exam is one of the most sought-after by MBA candidates.

XAT Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following XLRI-defined eligibility requirements in order to submit XAT Application forms.
Nationality: For XAT , Indian citizens can apply.In addition, foreign nationals can use their GMAT scores to apply for admission.
Graduation: A three-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized university in any field is required.
Minimum Score: To apply for the XAT exam, there is no minimum graduation score requirement.
Age: There is no upper age limit for the XAT exam.
Final-year students: Students in their final year can also apply for the exam if they graduate by June and send their test scores to their respective colleges.
The amount of Attempts: The number of times a student can take the exam is unlimited.
XAT Registration Procedure, Fees, and Required Documents
• Each year, approximately one lakh candidates apply for the XAT exam. The first step in applying for admission to PGDM/MBA programs offered by more than 160 colleges that accept XAT scores, including XLRI, XIME, XIMA, and XIMB, is XAT registration.
• The application forms for XAT have been made available on the official website, xat online.in, and the registration process is entirely online.
• The XAT application window opens on August 10, and closes on November 30.

• Create a User ID and Password Candidates must use the steps below to create their login credentials, or XAT ID and Password, on the official website, xatonline.in:
• Click the "Register" tab on the official website.
• Enter the fundamental information, such as email, name, and phone number,and send the form in.
• On the screen, your XAT ID and password will be shown.Keep a copy for all correspondence in the future.
Fill XAT Application Form
To fill out XAT application form , sign in with the credentials you created in the previous step.The following information must be included on the application:
• Personal Information: Name of parents, permanent or current address, and contact information. Date of birth, category, and nationality.
• Academic Information: Graduation and postgraduation scores, class 10 and 12 marks, professional degree information, and course details
• Information on Work Experience: Details on full-time work experience through March 31, .
• Program Preference for XLRI: The Business Management (BM), Human Resource Management (HRM), or Fellow Management Program must be selected by applicants for XLRI programs.
• City Preference for the XAT Exam: Based on their convenience, candidates can select two XAT exam cities from a drop-down list.
• Upload Documents While filling out the XAT application form, scanned images of the following documents must be uploaded:
• Photograph: Recent image in JPEG or JPG format.The file size should range from 20 to 50 kilobytes.200 x 230 pixels is the optimal size.
• Signature: On white paper, a black signature is written.The file size should range from 20 to 50 kilobytes.140 x 60 is the recommended dimension.

XAT Exam Pattern
According to the XAT Exam Pattern of , the question paper will consist of two sections with 101 questions each.In order to devise an effective strategy for preparation, it is of the utmost importance to review the comprehensive XAT exam pattern.
Type of Test: The XAT is given at test centers in more than 70 major Indian cities in an online CBT format.
The XAT Exam's Medium: Only English is used for the test.
XAT Test Span: 190 minutes, or 3 hours and 10 minutes, including 165 minutes for Part 1 and 25 minutes for Part 2.100 MCQs, and one essay question.
The amount of sections: Five sections broken up into two parts Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation are the three sections in Part 1. There are two sections in Part 2: General Knowledge and Essay Writing.
XAT Scoring System: One point is given for each correct response, and 0.25 points are deducted for each incorrect response.

XAT Marking Scheme
In the past two years, the XAT marking scheme has not undergone any significant modifications.It is recommended that you pay attention to the crucial aspects of the XAT Marking Scheme:
• Each MCQ is worth one point.There is a deduction of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response.
• After eight unattended questions, the XAT exam's marking pattern deducts 0.10 points for each unattempted question.
• Only candidates who have been shortlisted for the PI round will have their essays evaluated.
• The GK section does not have any negative marking.The final XAT scores do not take into account GK scores.

XAT ADMIT Card
• XAT Concede Card will be delivered by the test leading expert on December 20, .On the official website, xatonline.in, it will be available for download.
• Only candidates who have successfully registered will receive their XAT Admit Card or Hall Ticket.
• The XAT admit card will include all pertinent information regarding the exam center, time, and instructions for exam day. Check the XAT Exam Centers Candidates will not be permitted entry into the exam hall unless they have a printed copy of their admit card.
How do I obtain the XAT Admit Card?
• Go to the official XAT website and sign in with the XAT login ID and password you got when you signed up.
• Select the link labeled "Download Admit Card."
• Your admit card will be downloaded to your computer and displayed.
• Take a copy of the admit card and keep it for later use.
XAT Result
XLRI Jamshedpur will publish the XAT Result as a scorecard in the third week of January.
• Candidates will need to enter their XAT ID and password on the official website, xatonline.in, in order to download their XAT results.
• The XAT Result is valid for one year from the time it is released.
• Along with the overall and sectional scores, the XAT Scorecard will include the candidate's personal information.
• It should be noted that the GK section XAT scores will not be taken into account when determining the final XAT Cut off percentile. Only during the final selection rounds will it be useful.
