SSC STENO 2023
• The SSC Stenographer 2023 exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of stenographers in Grade C and Grade D in various departments and ministries of the Government of India. The SSC Stenographer exam is conducted once a year in online mode.
• The exam consists of two stages - Stage I (Computer Based Test) and Stage II (Skill Test). The Computer Based Test is further divided into three sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension. The skill test is conducted for candidates who clear the Computer Based Test and involves a dictation test in which candidates are required to transcribe the dictated passage in a given amount of time.

SSC STENO 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria for the SSC Stenographer 2023 exam are as follows:

SSC Stenographer 2023 Exam Fees:

SSC STENO 2023 Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The SSC Stenographer 2023 exam will be conducted in two stages - A Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Skill Test.
The exam pattern for the SSC Stenographer 2023 exam is as follows:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
• The CBT will be conducted online and will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions.
• The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
• The questions will be divided into three sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension.
• Each section will have 50 questions and will carry a weightage of 50 marks.
2. Skill Test:
• The skill test will be conducted to evaluate the candidate's stenography skills.
• The skill test will be of qualifying nature and the marks obtained in the CBT will be considered for final selection.
• Candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English/Hindi at a speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ post and 80 w.p.m for the Stenographer Grade ‘D’ post.
• The transcription time will be 40 minutes for English and 55 minutes for Hindi.

SSC STENO 2023 Admit card and Result
The SSC Stenographer 2023 admit card will be released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on its official website - ssc.nic.in - a few weeks before the exam date. Candidates can download their admit card by entering their registration number and date of birth/password.
The SSC Stenographer 2023 result will also be declared on the official website of SSC. The result will be declared separately for the Computer Based Test (CBT) and Skill Test. Candidates who clear the CBT will be called for the Skill Test. The final result will be based on the marks obtained in the CBT, as the Skill Test is of qualifying nature.

SSC STENO 2023 Selection Process
The selection process for SSC Stenographer 2023 exam will consist of two stages:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
The first stage will be a computer-based test (CBT) which will be conducted online. The CBT will consist of objective-type questions and will be conducted in multiple shifts. The questions will be asked from three sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension. Candidates who clear the CBT will be called for the second stage.
2. Skill Test:
The second stage of the selection process will be a skill test. In this stage, candidates will be evaluated based on their stenography skills. The skill test will be conducted in two parts - a) Stenography Test, and b) Typing Test. Candidates will have to qualify for both tests to be eligible for the final selection.
The final selection of candidates will be made based on their performance in the CBT and Skill Test. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the CBT, and the skill test will be of qualifying nature only. Candidates who clear both stages of the selection process will be offered the post of Stenographer in various government departments and ministries.
SSC STENO Scope
SSC Stenographer 2023 is a highly competitive exam, and clearing it can open up various job opportunities in different government departments and ministries. The selected candidates will be offered a decent salary package along with other benefits.
The pay scale for the SSC Stenographer post is Rs. 5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,400/- (Pay band 1). However, the salary structure may vary depending on the posting location and other factors.
