SSC MTS EXAM: DETAILS
• SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) is a national-level examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of candidates in various departments and offices of the Government of India. The SSC MTS exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff in various government departments and organizations.
• The SSC MTS exam is a two-stage selection process, which includes a written examination followed by a descriptive paper. The exam is conducted in various centers across the country and candidates who qualify in the written exam are called for the descriptive paper.

SSC MTS eligibility
The eligibility criteria for SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) exam are as follows:

Nationality | The candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. |

SSC MTS 2023 exam pattern
The exam pattern for SSC MTS 2023 consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
• Paper 1 is an online exam consisting of four sections: General English, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness. The duration of Paper 1 is 90 minutes and the total marks are 100. The questions are of objective type with multiple choice answers.
• Paper 2 is a descriptive test that assesses a candidate's writing skills. It is conducted in pen-and-paper mode and consists of short essay/letter writing in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. The duration of Paper 2 is 30 minutes and the total marks are 50.
• Candidates who qualify in Paper 1 will be eligible to appear for Paper 2. The final selection will be based on the combined marks obtained in both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
SSC MTS 2023 Syllabus
The syllabus for SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) exam 2023 includes:
1. General Intelligence and Reasoning: It includes questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, and arithmetical number series.
2. Numerical Aptitude: It includes questions on whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, percentages, ratios and proportions, square roots, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, partnership business, mixture and allegation, time and distance, time and work.
3. General English: It includes questions on the basics of the English language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage.
4. General Awareness: It includes questions on current events and happenings, history, culture, geography, economic science, general policy, scientific research and knowledge, sports, important dates, and events.

SSC MTS 2023 selection process
The selection process for SSC MTS 2023 exam is as follows:
1. Paper I: Candidates have to appear for an online computer-based test (CBT) consisting of four sections - General English, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness.
2. Paper II: Those who qualify in Paper I will have to appear for a descriptive paper in English or any other language listed in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. The paper will test candidates' basic language skills.
3. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in Paper I and Paper II will have to undergo document verification. Candidates will be required to produce all original documents at the time of document verification.
4. Final Selection: Candidates who qualify in Paper I, Paper II, and Document Verification will be selected for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff in various government offices and departments.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Paper I and Paper II.
