COMEDK UGET
The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has scrapped COMEDK UGET from the academic year -24. Instead, score of KCET exam (or Karnataka Common Entrance Test) will now be used for admission to private and unaided engineering colleges in Karnataka. The decision has been taken after a meeting held between the state government and the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association
However, according to COMEDK Executive Secretary Dr S Kumar, the Consortium has received no communication from the government on the scrapping of COMEDK UGET and therefore "the exam will continue to exist as long as it decides not to”. COMEDK UGET: Latest Update
COMEDK UGET is an entrance test for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses at private engineering colleges in Karnataka state. The government has introduced some changes in COMEDK UGET. The changes are mentioned below:
• the Karnataka government announced that next year COMEDK entrance test will be merged with CET (Common Entrance Test) and conducted at once at the All India level.
• C N Ashwath Narayan said “ KUPECA had demanded a 25 percent hike in fees as there had been no increase for the last two years, from 2020-21. But, on consultation, they finally agreed to a 10 percent hike.”
COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria
For Engineering Courses:
• Candidates should have passed the 10+2 exam or its equivalent from any recognized board/institution.
• There should be Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects at 10+2 level.
• Candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks for unreserved category students and 40% for SC/ST/OBC and Karnataka domicile candidates in the 10+2 exam.
For Architecture Courses:
• Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from any recognized board/university with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics a compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level. There should be at least 50% marks in PCM.
• The candidates should have a valid NATA or its equivalent exam score.
For Medical and Dental Courses:
• Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from any recognized board/university with a minimum of 50% marks (for the unreserved category) and 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC and reserved categories).
• There should be Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level.
COMEDK UGET Application Form
• The online application form for COMEDK UGET will be available in March.

After the successful completion of the application form, the admit cards of all the candidates are released on the official website nearly 15 days before the exam. COMEDK UGET Counseling
After the declaration of results, the counseling process starts to offer admission in various programs through the COMEDK UGET score. The counseling is done in various rounds to offer admission to students. The candidates need to register themselves to participate in the counseling round.
