IIT Mandi Online Courses 2022
IIT Mandi offers 2 online courses in AI, ML, and Full Stack Development. The two online courses offered are Postgraduate certification- Full Stack Developer and Postgraduate Certification in Applied AI and ML. IIT Mandi online courses are open to working professionals with 1-3 years of experience in the engineering field. The applicant must also have knowledge of at least one programming language. The total duration of IIT Mandi online courses is 7 months. IIT Mandi collaborated with WileyNXT in 2020 to train professionals in AI, and ML. Till date, 3 batches of the online courses have been completed. The institute will complete 2 more batches in 2022.

IIT Mandi BTech
Over the years IIT Mandi has introduced major changes and new courses under its B.Tech Program:
Introduction of Double Major Program - From the year 2021, IIT Mandi has introduced a Double Major Program in its BTech curriculum. Students of one discipline will be able to obtain a second ‘Major’ by spending one or two semesters in another discipline. For example, a student of Civil Engineering would be able to obtain a second major in CSE through the Double Major Program. For this, the student will have to study approximately 12 courses of the CSE discipline. The policy introduced will enable the student to appear for the campus placements for CSE related companies as well.
B.Tech + M.Tech in BioEngineering - In 2019, IIT Mandi launched BTech + MTech (Dual Degree program) in Bioengineering. The program is 5 years long and admission to the course is based on JEE Advanced rank, just like the regular BTech program. IIT Mandi BTech + MTech in Bioengineering teaches topics related to design and innovation such as reverse engineering, design practicum, interactive socio-technical practicum, etc. The opening rank required for the dual degree program is 8661 rank in JEE Advanced. The closing rank for the same was 14534 in round 6 for the year 2021.

IIT Mandi MTech
IIT Mandi MTech is another major program of the institute. The MTech program at IIT Mandi is specialised in 10 courses. The courses offered are Energy Systems, Energy Engineering, Power Electronics & Drives (PED), Communications and Signal Processing (C & SP), Biotechnology, Structural Engineering, VLSI, Computer Science and Engineering, Fluid and Thermal Engineering, Electric Transportation. Popular amongst all are the VSLI and CSE branches of the MTech program.
The VLSI branch at IIT Mandi is opted by majority of the students due to its industry oriented curriculum. The course contains Chip Design EDA tools such as Cadence, Mentor, Graphics, Synopsis, Silvaco, etc. These tools are the latest one and used in all the VLSI industries. The CSE branch at IIT Mandi is the newly added specialisation started in 2021. IIT Mandi Scholarships

Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships for BTech students: IIT Mandi offers MCM scholarships to Gen/OBC students based on their merits in the qualifying examination. The criterion of merit for first year B.Tech students is All India Rank in the JEE Advanced. The scholarship awards an amount of INR 1000 per month and exempts the payment of tuition fee. The amount is for one year and is given from the date of registration in Odd semester.
Institute Scholarship for SC/ST students under BTech program: IIT Mandi scholarships for SC/ST students provide room rent exemption and a monthly allowance of INR 1000 to BTech students. Under this scheme, students are given a choice between:

Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships for MSc and MA students: The institute provides monthly stipends and tuition fee waiver to Gen/ OBC students under this scheme. A fixed monthly stipend for a period of five months (i.e., August to December and February to June) is given to MSc and MA students. IIT Mandi awards an amount of INR 1000 per month to eligible students in the second semester. INR 2000 per month to eligible students in the third and fourth semesters.

IIT Mandi MA Admission 2022
IIT Mandi offers a two-year-long full-time MA program in development studies. Candidates from diverse backgrounds including several disciplines in humanities, social sciences, agricultural science, engineering, basic sciences, etc., take admission in this course. Admission into the program is offered on the basis of a written test or interview conducted by the institute.
IIT Mandi MA Eligibility Criteria
