IIT Jodhpur Quick Updates

IIT Jodhpur is a technical university built on a self-sustainable campus model. The institute’s campus is awarded the GRIHA Exemplary Performance Award. Currently, a total of 40 programs through 11 departments and 1 school is being offered by IIT Jodhpur. At the UG level, the institute offers a 4-year B.Tech program in 8 specialized streams. IIT Jodhpur Online Courses 2022
IIT Jodhpur has recently introduced an online PG Diploma program in Data Engineering and Cloud Computing. The program is offered for a duration of 12 months and has 600+ hours of the overall learning experience. It is a trimester program consisting of 36 credits in total. A fee of INR 2,99,000 is charged by IIT Jodhpur for its PG Diploma program and INR 10,000 as the immersion fee in the same. Any UG and PG students with 50% marks and 2 years of experience are eligible to apply for the PG Diploma program. Further, admission to the IIT Jodhpur PG Diploma program is based on a written test conducted by the institute or its appointed partner.

IIT Jodhpur BTech
The BTech program of IIT Jodhpur is ranked 43 by the NIRF rankings 2021. As per the new provision, BTech graduates are now allowed to switch their degree into B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree program in the 7th semester at IIT Jodhpur. The institute comes under few IITs offering BTech in AI and Data Science. IIT Jodhpur BTech in Data Science in AI is offered in 6 specializations. Students pursuing IIT Jodhpur BTech degree can also change their branch at the end of 2nd semester. The condition for the branch change requires:

IIT Jodhpur Facilities 
The Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur has a large campus on NH 65 spanning over 852 acres of land. For a great academic experience as well as comfortable campus life, IIT Jodhpur offers students a number of facilities:

Hostel: The hostel building has state-of-the-art insulation for the maintenance of temperature all year. Each student is offered single occupancy in an air-conditioned and semi-furnished room. There is 24x7 WiFi and LAN connection in the hostel for better connectivity. There are water coolers and hot water geysers on each floor along with laundry and housekeeping services. Each hostel building has an elevator for convenience. Sports and other facilities such as TV, reading room, art and music room, carom, table tennis, indoor football, snooker, chess, badminton play area, gymnasiums etc. Students also have access to dedicated hostel parking for vehicles. 
Food: There is a dedicated 3-storeyed building with an elevator for dining which can accommodate and cater to up to 1000 students at the same time. The building is fully air-conditioned and serves vegetarian and nonvegetarian delicacies separately. There is a separate food court as well with a vast range of ala carte menus. 
Health Care: There is an ISO-certified health center located on campus that also provides OPD and ambulance services. The health center has a constituted medical board of doctors from Government Medical College and AIIMS.

IIT Jodhpur B.Tech. Admission 2022
IIT Jodhpur B.Tech is a 4 year full-time programme offered on the basis of entrance exam and seat allocation is through counselling. Cutoffs are released for admissions for various categories, fulfilling which applicants can apply for admission to B.Tech at IIT Jodhpur. 

IIT Jodhpur B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board and must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths as major subjects.

IIT Jodhpur B.Tech Selection Criteria
The selection is based on JEE Advanced scores. JEE Main is merely a qualifying exam, to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be called for JEE Advanced Counseling organized by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA).
JEE Main Qualifying Cutoff 2021
B.Tech admissions in IITs is based on JEE Advanced exam scores. Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the JEE Main examination are eligible to appear for the respected examination. The minimum qualifying marks for Unreserved category (General category) is set for 87.992241 and the maximum mark is 100. Those who have secured the minimum cutoff marks and are ranked under 2.5 lakh can appear for JEE Advanced 2021 

IIT Jodhpur B.Tech Admission Process
The application fee for taking this exam varies with the type of candidature. The application fee is INR 650 (general category) and INR 325 (reserved category). The following section throws light on the requirements and the process of registration for JEE Mains.

JoSAA
Admission to B.Tech programs is offered through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Students who have appeared for either JEE Mains or JEE Advanced must keep the following points in mind while registering:

Students having qualified JEE Mains are eligible to apply for seat allotment to NITs only.
While JEE Advanced qualified candidates can apply to all participating institutions.
Applicants can fill as many options while registering in the decreasing order.
In order to be considered for admission according to the given options, students must not forget to lock their choices. Once locked no changes can be made.
In total, there are 7 rounds for seat allocation where all institutions participate who are a part of it.
Finally, an acceptance fee must be paid for accepting the seat provisionally.

How to Apply for GATE?
The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

The applicants must be GATE qualified and should have passed B.E/B.Tech with 6.5 CGPA (or 60%) for general/unreserved category (55% for reserved category).
Provisional certificate is accepted if final scores are not released by the respective institution. But candidates must submit their final scores within the stipulated time given.

Under the School of Management and Entrepreneurship a flagship program of MBA is offered. It is a two-year-long program that offers specializations.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the qualifying exam.

The Admission process consists of two stages:

STAGE 1:

Shortlisting based on the percentile of candidates in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs.

An initial shortlist shall be done based on the overall percentile in CAT. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview (PI)
PI will be conducted online, where each shortlisted candidate will be interviewed by a panel of one or more experts.

The students in this program would earn an MBA degree from IIT Jodhpur and a Master’s degree from the partner B-School. The students will be doing their MBA core courses in the first year at IIT Jodhpur and specialized courses in the second year at one of the partner institutions abroad.

IIT Jodhpur MBA Dual Degree Eligibility Criteria
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent awarded by any UGC recognized or deemed university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. 
A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale. 
A relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e., min. 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e., min. 5.50 on a 10-point scale) for the SC/ST/DAP (Differently Abled Person) candidates.
Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.
A valid CAT score.
IIT Jodhpur MBA Dual Degree Selection Criteria
Selection of the candidates for the MBA Dual degree is a two-step process. 

Step 1: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT scores, academic profile, work experience, and significant achievement in extra-curricular activities.

Step 2: Final selection will be made on the basis of the Composite Merit List (CML) prepared by the institute. 

Note: The institute offers direct admission to candidates who have 98 percentile and above in the CAT entrance examination.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have completed a Master's degree in Pharmacy, Science, Humanities, Engineering, Agricultural Science, Social Sciences, etc. with minimum 60% marks for GEN/ OBC /GEN- EWS categories and 55% in case of SC/ST/PD categories.

Selection Criteria
The selection in this course is based on a written test and interview which will be conducted by the Institute. 
After that, the Institute will announce the list of qualified candidates.
Students with GATE / UGC-NET / JRF / SLET are eligible to apply and appear directly for the interview. 
These students will also be exempted from appearing for the internal examination.
