Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences was established in 1989 with the recognition of UGC and Medical Council of India. It is one of the premier institutions and an autonomous university in Hyderabad state. NIMS offers Diploma, UG, PG and Research level programs in Medical, Paramedical and Nursing fields.
Admission to the courses offered by NIMS is done based on the candidate's performance in entrance exams. There are a total of 35 faculty members in Nizam's and most of them have completed their education from the reputed educational institutes across India.

NIMS Hyderabad Faculty
The Department of Physiotherapy has 7 members consisting of 5 lecturers and 2 Physiotherapists. The Department of Nursing has 28 members consisting of the principal, 3 lecturers, and the remaining is Clinical Instructor. Principal, three faculty members, and clinical instructors involved in the teaching program.
Teaching activities go on with lectures, demonstrations, and clinical teaching. The principal and faculty are involved in research activities in guiding the M.Sc (N) II year research projects as part of their academic program.

Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) is an Institute under State Legislature Act in Hyderabad, Telangana. It has campuses in Punjagutta and Bibinagar. NIMS is recognized by University Grants Commission and Medical Council of India.
NIMS Hyderabad offers several courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, PG Diploma and Research level to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of Medical Science. The university is currently offering admission to Master in Hospital Management course for the year 2021.
For BPT and B.Sc. (Nursing) the selection will be made on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
B.Sc. Nursing course is available only for female candidates.
Selection in medical courses such as DM and MCh. will be done through the score obtained in the NEET SS entrance examination, followed by counseling.
At Research level, candidates also need to appear in personal interview.

Scholarship
This is a four year course which include 3 years course time and an year internship. During internship we get stipend. For 3 yrs we have to pay around 45k each year. And scholarship we have apply for it after we ourselves paying the fee. For financial assistance one can do partime in other hospitals or diagnostic centers on our own interest. There is no any campus palcements till jow coz we are still the first batch of this college.
