NIT Puducherry Quick Update
NIT Puducherry is one of the ten new NITs launched by the Govt of India. It is ranked 136 by the NIRF 2022 in its Engineering category. NIT Puducherry admission 2022 is ongoing for the B.Tech program. CSAB 2022 special round 2 seat allotment result is out now. Candidates can check the seat allotment result through the official website - csab.nic.in. The last date for seat acceptance and online reporting for admission is November 5. Physical reporting for candidates who have confirmed their seats will take place till November 9. . Further, GATE 2023 exam will be conducted between February 4 and February 12, 2023.
NIT Puducherry has been ranked at 130 by NIRF Ranking 2020. The most opted course at this institute is NIT Puducherry is B.Tech in CSE and ECE branch as it offers maximum placement opportunities to students. Admission to this program is offered on the basis of JEE Main exam scores and later followed by JoSAA counselling. The institute offers 75-80% of placement in recognised companies with an average package upto INR 4.9 LPA. The highest package recorded in the 2020 placement drive was INR 15.25 LPA.
NIT Puducherry Admission Highlights 2022
For admission in B.Tech program, admission is offered via JEE Main exam score.Whereas for M.Tech admissions, GATE exam score is considered.
Admission to the PhD programme is done on the basis of a written test and interview conducted by NIT Warangal.Students who have cleared JRF/ NET exam are exempted from the entrance test and will be called for PI round.
The application fee for JEE Main is INR 1000 for male candidates and INR 500 for female candidates.
Foreign students are accepted through Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) and ICCR schemes.

NIT Puducherry Online Courses 2022
With the help of its different departments, NIT Puducherry organises various online short-term courses every academic year. The online short-term courses are open to any UG/PG student, research scholars, PhD scholars, or faculty members. The online courses are conducted for 3-7 days from time to time on recent trends and technologies.
NIT Puducherry B.Tech Program
A declining cutoff trend has been observed for all the BTech specialisations, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering over the recent years in 2018 and 2019.
NIT Puducherry Placement
Around 31 renowned companies participated in the sixth Campus Placement drive of 2019. The average package offered was INR 4.9 LPA. The highest package offered was INR 15.25 LPA which was offered by CodeNation Solutions.
The maximum number of placements were done under the CSE department followed by the department of ECE.

In the first instance, only 100 students will get the benefit of this scholarship.
