Sanchi University of Buddhist - Indic Studies (SUBIS) is a state university which was established in 2013 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Sanchi University offers M.A., M.Sc., MFA, M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in various discipline. Apart from this, certificate and diploma courses are also offered by the university. Students looking for admission in the Institution must appear for an entrance test conducted at University level.

Sanchi University Admissions

The University conducts a common entrance examination for admission in various courses and programs. Final admission is done on the basis of merit scored in the entrance test and viva-vove for each program. The ratio of marks of written exam and viva-voce is 70:30. Minimum 50% marks for General/OBC category and 40% for SC/ST are mandatory for passing both stages. 

NOTEAll foreign nationals and N.R.I. candidates need to appear in viva-voce only


Sanchi University Scholarship

Scholarships are the best financial aid awards designed to help students pay for college. Sanchi University offers Scholarship and Financial Aid to the students who are meritoriously brilliant in the studies. Following are the scholarships offered by the university:

  1. Scholarships for Special Merit: Top three rank holders having 80% and above in the entrance examination of any program/course are awarded University scholarship for special merits.
  2. Scholarships for BPL students: Top three BPL rank holders having 70% and above in the entrance examination of any program are offered this scholarship (excluding Ph.D. and M.Phil students).
  3. Scholarships for M.Phil and Ph.D. students: All students studying in these two programs are entitled to this award. 
  4. Concession and Exemption: The University provides fee concession to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category (except for those who are in the creamy layer). The benefits will only be given to the domiciles of Madhya Pradesh. Blind and physically challenged students are exempted from payment of Tuition fee only.

Scholarship

The University offers many scholarships for meritorious and economically poor students. Notice regarding the application process for Scholarship will be put on the University notice board. The students are also encouraged to apply for other Government and Private scholarships online if they fulfil the required conditions. 

  • Top three rank holders having 80% and above in the entrance examination of any programme/course are awarded University scholarship for special merits. 
  • The Central Fees Committee of the University will review and decide the eligibility criteria for awarding the scholarship for special merit and is empowered to discontinue scholarship for special merit if conduct or progress of the student is found below the CGPA 8.0 in each semester examination of any programme/course of the University. 
  • The top three BPL rank holders having 70% and above in the entrance examination of any programme/course offered by the University will be awarded BPL scholarship as per the rules of the University. 
  • All M.Phil. / Ph.D. students of the University excluding those receiving financial assistance will be entitled to scholarship as per the rules of the University.
