IIMC

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication administers the IIMC Entrance Exam, a university-level exam, to select students for its six affiliated campuses' PG Diploma programs in Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising, and Radio and Television Journalism. Candidates who have completed their graduation can apply for the exam, according to the IIMC  Eligibility Criteria.

Eligibility for the  IIMC Exam:

•       Nationality: Indian citizenship is required for the candidate.
•       Candidates sponsored by NRIs can apply for five seats in each course.
•       Candidates sponsored by NRIs who wish to apply for both NRI and non-NRI positions must complete separate application forms for each. Age Limit:
•       Students in the general category should have been born on or after August 1, 1995.
•       For the SC/ST/disabled understudies, the date of birth ought to be August 1, 1990, or later.
•       Candidates who identify as OBC must have been born on or after August 1, 1992.
•       Academic credentials: Four-year college education in any discipline.
•       students who are taking their final year exams can also take the entrance exam if they bring their final year mark sheet or provisional certificate.
•       If they are chosen, they will have to show at least a provisional certificate in its original from their college or university  . If they don't, the provisional admission will be canceled.

How do I fill out the application for the IIMC Entrance Exam?

Online Mode

•       Candidates can fill out the IIMC Entrance Exam  Application Form in the following ways:
•       Click on "Online Application form for all PG Diploma Courses -23" in the news feed to access IIMC's official website at iimc.nta.ac.in.
•       Fill out and upload all of the information requested on the application form by clicking "New Registration," 
•       Then click "Submit." You can pay the application fee with a Netbanking, credit card, or debit card.
•       It is suggested that candidates print out the completed form for future reference.

The application fee can be paid online, in person when you buy the form from the campus, or with a demand draft for the specified amount.

Offline Mode of IIMC Registration

 1.   Obtain the application form from the campus or official website.
2.      Fill in the required details such as personal details, academic details, and contact details.
3.      Attach the completely filled application form along with the demand draft of the required amount.
4.      Send the application form and a demand draft of the application fee.

6.      IIMC exam will consist of 100 MCQs carrying 1 mark each. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. There is no fixed syllabus for IIMC Exam. However, candidates are evaluated on the following aspects:

IIMC Entrance Exam  Admit Card

Only the IIMC Entrance Exam Admit Card can be downloaded from the organization's official website.The admit card will not be sent to any candidate via email or postal mail.Only candidates who have submitted their applications and paid their fees on time will receive their admit cards from IIMC.The following are the steps for downloading the IIMC  Admit Card:
•       Visit the official website, iimc.nic.in. Applicants must select a course, enter their date of birth, and enter their mobile phone number.or an Application Numbercorrectly.
•       Online applicants must choose a course and enter a unique ID and date of birth.
•       The link that says "Download Admit Card" will appear after you click the "Submit" button.
•       When you click the link, the "IIMC Admit Card" will appear.
•       The Admit Card for the IIMC Entrance Test in  can be saved and printed.

•Note: All candidates should bring with them HB Pencil and eraser etc. for the entrance examination. If any candidate does not have/ misplaced the unique ID number, immediately contact at 011-26742069 between 10 AM to 5 PM from Monday to Saturday.

IIMC Entrance Exam  Result & Selection Process

Indian Institute of Mass Communication will release IIMC  Results in July, .  Candidates can check and download their results online from the official website.

Steps to download the Score Card:

Scholarships Offered

The following scholarships are available from IIMC for its various programs:

•       An outstanding female student in the Hindi Journalism Program will receive the "Rati Aggarwal Scholarship" based on her performance on the entrance exam.
•       A meritorious Radio & TV Journalism student will be given the "Star TV Scholarship" based on how well they did on the entrance exam.
•       Based on how well they did on the entrance exam and in the course, the two most deserving Advertising and Public Relations students will receive the "Achin Ganguly Scholarship."
•       Based on how well they did on the entrance and first semester exams, the "Jaswinder Singh Memorial Scholarship" will be given to two outstanding students, one from Hindi Journalism and the other from Radio & TV Journalism.
