Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The engineering field of electrical and electronic engineering is integrated. The technological aspects of electricity, particularly the design and use of circuitry and electronic equipment, are the focus of this course. Communication, machine control, and the idea of power generation and distribution are also included. The practical use of electricity is the primary focus of this branch of engineering. It also focuses on electrical system design, construction, and application in everyday life. Professional degrees in electrical and electronics engineering include the Diploma, B.Tech., B.E., and M.Tech. Control systems, communications, signal processing, microprocessors, radio frequency design, electric machines, and power generation are all included in E.E.E. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering). Students in this class learn about everything from large transmission lines, digital electronics, AC and DC electrical machines, control systems, semiconductors, analog electronics, and power systems.

Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Eligibility criteria for admission in Diploma –

•       Candidates must have passed Class 10 with Science stream or its comparable from any perceived board in India

•       Candidates should have 45% imprints or more in Class 10 in science and math.

Eligibility criteria for admission in B.Tech and B.E. –

•       The qualifying examination must include Physics, Maths, Chemistry, and an additional subject of the student's choice.
•       Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Science stream or its equivalent from any recognized board in India.
•       Candidates must have 50% or more marks in Class 12 with the Science stream. Reserved categories like SC/ST are given a relaxation of up to 5%.

Eligibility criteria for admission in M.Tech –

•       Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in B.Tech/B.E. or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55%.
•       They must also pass the GATE entrance exam.

Admission Criteria - Electrical and Electronics Engineering

For Diploma- Candidates must have passed class 10 with a minimum aggregate of 45% in mathematics and science along with English. Admissions are done on the basis of merit lists, however, these merit lists alter from institute to institute. Applicants can apply for this course through offline mode as well as an online portal by logging into the website of the respective college.

For B.Tech and B.E.- There are two types of procedures that candidates can opt for to get admission in B.Tech/B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering: entrance examinations (JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and BITSAT) or direct admission. To get admission to the major institutes within India, candidates must qualify for entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and BITSAT. Direct admission is done on the basis of the marks scored by students in class 12th.

For M.Tech - Aspirants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in B.Tech/B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Direct admission to IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) is regulated on the basis of marks achieved by candidates in GATE.

Scope of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in India

The field of electrical and electronics engineering is fairly new. It has an impact on every facet of modern life. They come up with new technologies and innovations as well as ways to make them better. More jobs are being created as a result of investments made in India by numerous multinational corporations and research organizations. E.E.E. works in large production companies like aerospace, the IT industry, manufacturing, and telecommunications. Electrical and electronics engineers have access to a wide range of employment opportunities outside of the private sector.

The required level of expertise has also increased in tandem with the rising demand for electrical and electronics engineers. Because it combines the best aspects of both electrical engineering and electronics, the field of electrical and electronics engineering has grown in popularity. Electrical and electronics engineering is a broad field with applications in every sector, from technology to manufacturing. A lot of graduates can also work in research and development (R&D), where many businesses pay a lot of money. After earning their doctorate, they always have the option of working as a teacher. A significant amount of electricity is required by every large manufacturing or production company. Because of this, the majority of manufacturing and production businesses employ electrical and electronics engineers. Electrical systems that are required to operate these production facilities are designed and maintained by them. Aside from the creation and assembling areas, electrical and gadget designs likewise work in electric power plants. Governments or private businesses may own these electric power plants.
